Unfortunately the food was really bad. I brought one foreing friend with me to taste some Turkish food, but I felt embarressed in front of him to have him tried such a bad food in HK, besides we spent 30 mins to reach to the place.
The place (I can't call it a restaurant) can hardly be recognized from outside, across the street. Coz there is no signboard showing it's a Turkish resto.
When we went inside, there was a Turkish waiter who didnt even say a welcome or something, apparently he was just someone found that job in HK as a Turkish. Also, he kept making noise with the forks and spoons all the time when we were eating.
As for the food, the food was not even close to the Turkish food. That was not Turkish food. İf you want to go to eat, you go and eat. But you should know that it's not Turkish food. That would be an insult for Turkish foodto call it Turkish food.
We had humus and tomato dip, they served tortilla bread with these appetizers that was bought from the supermarket.
The lentil soup was very bad, I'm cooking myself a far better lentil soup at home. Anyone can cook just by watching a video on YouTube. İts not hard to cook it, you dont event need to be a chef.
The beef döner was such a disaster. İt's apparently a frozen something from somewhere. There was no way that they prepared it themselves there. After I talked to the waiter, he admitted that they were buying it from some company as a ready food just to heat it up before serving. But even as a ready food, the quality was such a shame.
I ordered Lahmacun for myself and the dough was like a pizza dough, so thick and the ground mix of Lahmacun mixture was really bad. İt was really something else.
After those bad experiences, I couldnt dare to order any dessert of course.
İ talked to the Turkish waiter who told me that who just started working there, he said the owner was a Turkish. I think the owner should stop that business and should some ways to improve the food for the sake of the reputation of one nation and country known with a good food and cuisine.
İt's not real Turkish food, it's something else. You should know this and if you still like it, there...
Read moreIstanbul Turkish kebabs and grill, located on Wanchai Road in Wanchai, Hong Kong, has been my go-to place for the past 7 years and it truly feels like home. The restaurant has consistently provided me with exceptional dining experiences, making it a favorite among locals and expats alike.
For lunch, my absolute favorite dish is the mixed kebabs doner with rice or chips. The kebabs are perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, creating a mouthwatering combination of flavors. Whether you prefer rice or chips as a side, both options complement the kebabs beautifully.
One thing that is an absolute must-have at Istanbul Turkish kebabs and grill is their homemade lemonade. It is incredibly refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
Another highlight of this restaurant is their superb Turkish tea. Served in traditional Turkish tea glasses, it is the perfect way to end a meal. The rich and aromatic tea leaves you feeling relaxed and satisfied.
While the restaurant may be a bit small, it is a common feature of most dining establishments in Hong Kong. However, despite its size, Istanbul Turkish kebabs and grill is always full, which is a testament to the quality of their food. The consistent awesomeness of their dishes is a major reason why I keep coming back.
The lady who serves, who is likely the owner, is incredibly obliging and always greets guests with a warm smile. Her courteous and hospitable nature adds to the overall dining experience, making you feel welcomed and valued as a customer.

Read moreI honestly think this is the best authentic Turkish restaurant in Hong Kong. This place has the best kebabs no questions asked in Hong Kong. The meat is so juicy and tender as well being well seasoned and flavourful. I have tried chicken, beef and lamb from here. All of them are bloody delicious! I had the lamb steak with rice this time. The lamb was amazingly juicy and not hard to chew. The portion was massive. We also shared chicken sac kebab. The döner meat comes with seasoned vegetables and spices and it was also bloody delicious. We also had the double meze platter. The hummus with that Turkish/Lebanese bread is to go crazy over. It was also bloody delicious! The salty Ayran tastes very authentic. It’s a salted yoghurt drink, and is very good for you. Moreover, we wrapped it up with the dessert which was the kunefe. It’s a cheese pastry with sweet syrup. Holy GUACOMOLE, this slapped so well. I absolutely loved the taste of it. It was something I had always wanted to try. And the texture, the crisp and the cheese pull got me addicted to it. The customer service is perfect as well. The owners of the restaurant are so nice and welcoming. They always have smiles on their faces. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone. Go and have a feel for authentic Turkish food. You will find it...
