This is my third time as well as the last time visiting this restaurant as the service quality has deteriorated to an unbearable, disrespectful, and extremely disappointing level.

First of all, food was fantastic, the view, the design & the vibe in this restaurant are definitely spot-on. However, the service from the staff - or a particular staff is totally intolerable. Examples as below:

(1) I've left message in google reservation and called to confirm with staff a day before the visit that we are to celebrate a friend's birthday and expecting a cake with hand writing on the plate - yet the staff in the restaurant didn't seem to communicate on this beforehand, and I needed to repeat again and again, or to spell the name to make sure this will be processed.

(2) When the cake came in, it's a bit awkward as usually in other restaurants the staff will at least say happy birthday or give a smile. The staff here simply dropped the plate - literally dropped it, lit the candle and went away without a single word.

(3) Water glass is always empty. A guy came over to refill but the water spilled everywhere, the table was flooded - not just one case as it happened multiple times. Again, no word no subsequent action. Just faded away as nothing was wrong.

(4) When getting the bill, I had a question on the still water on the bill - not to challenge or refuse to pay, it's simply a bottle of water and I just wanted to double check - but the staff (the same one who refilled our glasses) simply repeated "it's still" "tap, still sparkling, it's the still" - to be honest the tone was not that pleasant.

I fully respect everyone who spent tremendous efforts working in this restaurant and providing services. I truly don't want to see one or two staff damaging all the endeavors & credibility built by the whole team. Not only myself but my friends who came with me felt disrespected by this kind of attitude. We chose this restaurant because they trusted my dining experience here and we were supposed to give our friend a warm celebration. If Wooloomooloo considers itself as a place of this class, I will never step in again in my life.

For those viewers who cares about service, even if just a little bit of it, please lower your expectation first before making your reservation - just a...

Food: Ordered their mushroom soup. It cost me around $150, and it tasted horrible. It was bland, stale, and unscrupulous. Even the complementary soups from a random local diner tastes way better than this.

Ordered their $400+ steak. Explicitly told their staff that I wanted MEDIUM/50%. However, they served me an overcooked piece of garbage. It was so tough and unmeaty that I wanted to stop eating that sinful atrocity. The steak was so distasteful that it makes the beef patty from Mcdonalds appear like a 3-star michelin meal. It reminded me of the days when I was small when I could only eat 70% steak. If we take a look at the photo, the steak was clearly NOT Medium.

Service Their service was HORRIBLE. Their sub-par server was so impatient that when I had only drank my soup for ~3 minutes, the staff asked in an extremely inhospitable and annoyed tone whether I had finished my soup. I got so shocked because I was clearly still drinking it, and there was plenty of soup left! Perhaps their server was blind!

Atmosphere: Nothing special about the atmosphere. It's just a high-rise view of the Wan Chai district. Also the other patrons were very loud, making it less pleasant to dine.

Overall: This restaurant is unreasonably exorbitant, has disrespectful staff, and revolting food that I suggest ANYONE to eat at Mcdonalds if you want its steak, and any other cheaper local diner, because you will very much enjoy your meal in...

Nice looking restaurant with decent service, but inconsistent food quality.

Bread for the table was quite dry, served with a small dish of olive oil and vinegar - vastly more vinegar than oil so quite a tart experience, not the most pleasant. Caesar salad was a complete waste of time, it was effectively just a plate of dry lettuce, wafer-thin slices of round croutons (which were crispy, but unseasoned), and some crispy ham. Practically no dressing or cheese to be found at all, crazy for $145. Onion soup was ok, not the best but also not the worst.

To their credit all the steaks we had were pretty great. Fillet mignon was beautifully tender, Black Angus ribeye was delicious. Only the sirloin was a touch on the dry, chewy end of things but even that still had good flavour. Nice range of sauces and mustards - special mention to the horseradish cream, and mushroom sauce.

For sides, the sweet potato chips were really underwhelming. Quite a large portion but mostly soft-soggy, with only a few crispy ones to be found. Creamed corn was nice, and grilled asparagus was actually delicious, very nicely done.

All in all, bit of a mixed bag of a meal, some delicious elements and some really sub par dishes. Would consider coming back just for the steaks and the evening view, but not the most...

First of all, this place has a fantastic roof top bar which can be accessed directly from the elevator or through a set of stairs from the restaurant. It over looks the east side of Victoria Harbour on one side and the Happy Valley racecourse on the other. The rooftop is above the 31st floor, where the main restaurant is located. The bar serves a great selection of drinks and cocktails with helpful staff, comfortable and spacious seating arrangement with a mix of lounges and high chairs. The restaurant provides an easy selection of soups, salads, appetisers and of course, premium steaks. There are 5 other non beef mains like Tasmanian Salmon, however one would definitely want to try out steaks in a steakhouse. I recommend the premium aged for 200 days rib eye, cooked medium rare. The 16oz size shared between 2 people is perfect. Tuna Nicoise Salad uses seared sashimi tuna which is a nice change from the normal fare. Oyster Kilpatricks are unusually cooked with cheese on top, so they were interesting but nothing special and they were too salty. The only complaint I had was the male toilet, it was in a poor state, very tight in space and considering the restaurant would be classified almost a fine dining place, the state of the toilet bizarrely uncharacteristic of such a restaurant.
