Gaâla — Local services in Paris

I’ve bought a number of items from Gaala over the past year, and have loved every single one! The quality of all my items has been fantastic; the fabrics for my coat, blazer, and dress are all thick and very neatly stitched, and they’ve all fit me very well once I figured out my size. I also hope they continue to do the Close Knit collection – the Lada sweater is beautiful, thick, and cozy, probably my favorite sweater in my closet.

Communication has been stellar with the team – Darya and Anne have been incredibly kind and patient in answering my questions about various items. Sizing was initially a bit tricky for me to figure out, but I’ve found that I’m generally an XS in all their clothing (Angelina Coat, Estelle Dress, Christopher Blazer, Lada Sweater). I’ve made one exchange so far, and they were quite prompt with issuing me a refund, before making and shipping the new item out.

Shipping has consistently been on time. Even when I’ve ordered during busy sales (e.g., Black Friday), my items have always shipped within the stated timeframe (3-4 weeks for preorder items to be made and then shipped out). I’ve had in-stock items arrive to me in the US within a week of placing the order, and preorder items arrive within 5-6 weeks, which is about what I’d expect.

Where to even begin!? This brand embodies so much of what I love in a clothing aesthetic: elegant, timeless, crafted with intention, natural high quality fibers, feminine, flattering, and just lovely! I visited during the pop up in April and had the best shopping experience I’ve ever had in my life!

I have been keeping tabs on this brand from the US for a few years now so when I got a chance to visit in person and try things on, it was such a dream! I basically tried on everything in the store in my size and I’ll warn you, be careful cause pretty much everything they make is flattering and when you try it on, you’ll fall in love with it and end up with more items then you thought of, but treasures you are overjoyed to have found and hard to part with! Your wardrobe will be elevated by any piece of theirs, but your pocketbook might be hurting 😂 but you’ll recover and it’ll be worth it!! I’ve been wearing the pieces I’ve bought for the last 4 months and can say they hold up incredibly well and I’m just so happy to have them! All the pieces have elevated my wardrobe so much!

And finally I’d be remiss not to mention the amazing Nicole and Paloma who helped me out over the two days I was shopping. Nicole was so personable, helpful, sweet, and felt like a best friend right when I walked in the door. I had soooooo much fun at Gaala with them and am counting the days till I can come back! I ordered already 3 dresses from Gaâla (pre-order) and I must say that the wait for each of them was more than worth it. The whole shopping experience is over the top, including fast and lovely wrapped delivery. The customer care is very personal and fulfilling all your wishes, Darya is so lovely and helpful. I was even able to order a maternity dress from their maternity capsule which actually was not available anymore. Also another beautiful dress was a tad too short since I'm tall and they would just exchange it for the same a bit longer length. In general the measurements provided in the size chart are very accurate so far. The ideas of using dead stock high quality natural fibre fabrics is amazing and their design team knows timeless prettiness. This brand is for women who understand true timeless style band who can wait a couple weeks for a beautifully crafted piece. Fast fashion is so much out of style and businesses like this one should soon rule the fashion market. I read a young couple is owning this brand and I can just tell them: continue like this! I even believe they pay their employees fairly, which many high end brands cannot promise. Also I think the prices are extremely fair for what you get, they could ask for more. So, I look forward to have a princess closet full of Gaâla! Maybe one wish: Why not make a mother-daughter mini-me capsule (I have soon 2 little princesses :-))?...
