The most inefficient and exhausting shopping experience. It feels like I’m at an extremely poorly designed airport hopping from a line to another. The knitwear counter system is bizarre and inconvenient. Having a separate line for tax refund after the checkout line is just ridiculous.
Staff: 4/5 the store staff are very friendly and accommodating. the tax refund lady seemed to have issues with Asians. Her tone and service completely changed when I got up to the desk compared to the 5 other non-Asian customers I overheard while waiting in the queue. But whatever I can get over that.
The shopping experience: 1/5
first you wait outside in a queue (I went on Monday at 4pm and waited about 20mins). This is understandable given they don’t want the store getting too packed.
now this is the kicker. if you want knitwear, you can’t just browse. You have to let their staff help you ONE GUEST AT A TIME. You get in another line at the knitwear desk. After waiting a while depending on how busy the store is then you ask 1 or 2 staff members working at the counter what you want to see. All of the knitwear are FOLDED AND ON A SHELF. Basically you need to be familiar with the items they sell and you tell them what design, what color and what size. And the same knitwear staff also has to go get the sizes for you and fold the unwanted items at the desk while ppl are waiting…… it takes so long just to see what the item looks like and what size might fit you.
then you get in another line to check out. And they don’t do tax refund receipt for you there. YOU THEN GO NEXT DOOR AND GET IN ANOTHER LINE at the concierge and then get your tax refund papers.
I’ve never been so exhausted buying sweaters. They tire you out with the lines and the totally nonsense knitwear shopping experience. You’ll have no energy to go anywhere else. There’s so much room for improvement when it comes to the...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Sézane for the past 3 years. It was my second time in a store in Paris and I’m sorry to say every time I go to one I am disappointed. As a customer I can understand the long lines to get in the store, the fitting rooms and to pay, in fact these are their nicest employees! Very kind and doing everything they can to make the experience somehow less painful.
The employee on the knit wall was extremely rude. At first, she completely ignored me after I greeted her (in French) and looking directly at me she turned back to the wall. Then, when finally she acknowledged me and I asked about the knit I was looking for, she lied to me by saying they didn’t have it in the size I needed and asking me if I didn’t want one she was folding to put back on the wall. How I know she lied is, I asked the same question to the employee in the fitting room and she promptly got someone to bring it from their storage room.
As a customer, I feel extremely disappointed on the treatment we get from their employees. I understand dealing with people can be stressful, but if their employees can’t be respectful and do the minimum, which is actually checking the stock, then they should be doing other jobs.
I am sorry to say my image of the brand has been tarnished by this experience. I hope Sezane is actually acting on the feedback, and improving, because I have seen similar comments here after this incident and it seems these type of situations are more...
Read moreI absolutely love Sezane and use the their App all the time. I was so excited to finally visit the real shop while in Paris and I was so disappointed with this store.
A staff who was serving the shoes area was so patient and lovely. She gave me a pair of new heels that I was looking for.
After that I moved to accessories area, I wanted to try a necklace and earrings. I talked to a staff in English and this staff told me she was serving another lady. That’s no problem I can wait and I was waiting there for her.
After 2 minutes there’s an another new customer who was speaking French to her. The staff skipped me to serve this French lady. I was shocked and I thought because I wasn’t speaking French to her? She kept me waiting there just like I was invisible. That’s ridiculous. Very impolite service, worst shopping experience in years.
I brought the shoes with me and waited the queue in front of cashier. The same french staff used her impolite language spoke to me even she knew I didn’t speak French. She kept saying to me in French with no smile and with a angry face. I supposed she was asking me to give way but I didn’t know what’s she’s talking about!
Is it the way how to treat a customer like her? It seems like I did something wrong!! At the end I bought a pair of heels and it was a completely frustrating shopping experience in Sezane...
