Le Cordon Bleu — Local services in Paris

Our experience at Le Cordon Bleu’s macaron workshop and afternoon tea time was absolutely incredible—easily the best cooking experience we’ve had in Paris, and we’ve done at least four! The location is stunning, set in a beautiful building with historic architecture that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place.

The chefs were fantastic—true masters of their craft but also incredibly patient and great at teaching. They guided us step-by-step in a way that made the process fun and easy to follow. It was especially heartwarming to see how kind and patient they were with our 7-year-old daughter. She had the best time and was completely engaged throughout!

After the workshop, we got to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea with the same macarons we made, which were as delicious as they were beautiful. It was such a treat to enjoy our hard work, prepared by the same chef who taught us. The kitchen itself was gorgeous—clean, modern, and inspiring to work in. It really felt like a privilege to be learning how to make macarons in such a professional yet welcoming space.

What really stood out was how they taught us techniques we could easily replicate at home, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The highlight of our culinary themed trip to Paris was the Risotto class at Cordon Bleu Hotel de la Marine. Nicolas was our French-speaking chef, assisted by Chef Caussimon, and CB students Kim (who beautifully translated every word into English as we followed the instructions), Santiago and Joi. Très déceptif, je ne recommande pas du tout ! On m’a offert un bon de 430€ pour faire dîner/cours et un tour à la boutique. On a donc réservé et articulé tout un week-end autour de cela. Moins de 48h avant l’événement, ils l’annulent et une autre date est définie.Tristes et déçues, nous ne pouvons rien y faire et acceptons. Malheureusement la veille de cette date, il y a eu les inondations à plusieurs endroits dans le pays et nous n’avons pas eu d’autres choix que d’annuler. Ils nous ont donc déduit un montant conséquent de notre réservation car l’annulation est de notre fait (alors que lorsque c’est eu il n’y a AUCUNE contre-partie). Ma femme étant sur Paris , elle s’est rendue ce jour à la boutique pour utiliser oe montant du bon. Et là encore, désillusion, 100€ en plus de la déduction ont disparu.
