I didn't know about this place beforehand but I heard that they are famous in Paris, and perhaps in France. The place offers a huge variety of comic books from reall classic authors to superheroes' latest issues, and to independent publications.
This place also offers some titles with exclusive silk-screen printed ex-libris, even some are, drum roll please, signed by the authors! Guess what? Those titles are sold for, more drums please, regular price! I was shocked to see this because in my country and on the internets, if something's signed, the price is free to fly, but not here.
The staff are helpful, and seem to know about every single title in the store. If something's not available, I'm sure they can order. Also don't forget to subscribe to their weekly mailing list (I suppose it is in French) if you are...
Read moreI visited the Librairie Super-héros (LSH) about nine months ago with less idea of what I was looking for, while pressed for time. I was immediately impressed with the willingness of the staff to help in English, the depth of their knowledge and the selection within the store.
I returned later the next year to find the same well handled customer service and great suggestions based on my interest. The staff worked collaboratively to get ideas and recommendations for me. The selection of graphic novels was so vast with such a variety that you’ll likely find whatever you’d like.
There is visual art for sale in addition to the works of art in the graphic novels themselves. Also of interest, LSH partners with artists to create a limited edition signed book plaque in the first pages of the book. It was a unique touch and making them feel mote collectible.
LSH also offers a rewards program which allows you to catalog all your purchases and gives you discounts based on purchases.
A fantastic shop for graphic novels, comics with a community atmosphere. I’ll be back when in Paris or order online.

Read moreIn March of 2001, I wandered into this store after being mocked by a mime outside of the Pompidou Center. (Tourist industry was on strike.) I loved comic books at the time. I realized on this trip that my French language skills were nowhere near what I thought when I booked. Ironically, this was the only place in the entire city in 2001 that I visited where not a single person in the store spoke any English. Comic collectors are a tribe worldwide, no language necessary.
Flash forward 22 years (2023), I am thrilled this place still exists and is thriving. My wife bought two comics, I grew obsessed with a print of a hound sleeping and dreaming. The place has 1, maybe two more English speakers more than my original visit, but that doesn't matter. Fantastic shop and...
