We didn’t know the restaurant and decided to try it because of its high rating. Service was excellent, nothing to complain about. The spirit of the kitchen is clearly about reimagining classic Italian recipes, which I respect. The final execution, though, didn’t really convince us. Each element of the dishes was interesting on its own, but together they didn’t quite work.
I ordered the spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino with prawns. The raw prawns were good (to me they felt almost frozen, though maybe that contrast was intentional), but the sauce was overwhelmingly citrusy, masking everything else. It was very spicy but with no trace of garlic, which surprised me since I’d smelled a strong, inviting aroma of garlic during preparation. In my dish, however, all I could taste was the sharpness of the lemon — it reminded me more of a Lebanese ras asfour sauce. I wouldn’t have minded if the dish had simply been described as prawns in citrus sauce, but since I ordered aglio, olio e peperoncino, I was expecting those flavors, or at least a reinterpretation that kept the balance. Instead, it felt like an assault of lemon.
The same happened with my wife’s dish, prosciutto and melone. The melon was delicious, the sauce that tied it together was great, and the slow-cooked ham was interesting. But the pairing clashed - it brought out a strong gamey note in the meat, so instead of the harmony you get in the classic recipe, it turned into a kind of cacophony that pushed you to eat each ingredient separately.
I’m not writing this to tear the place down, but rather to share feedback that might be useful. I’m also aware this could have just been my personal experience. Best of luck, because the restaurant is pleasant, the willingness to experiment is admirable, and the service is warm...
Read moreAs visitors from America spending time in Paris, we were absolutely delighted with our experience at Neonato. The atmosphere was nothing short of stunning—intimate, romantic, and beautifully designed. It felt like the perfect Parisian dining escape.
The food was phenomenal, truly among the best meals we’ve had during our travels. Every dish was crafted with care, full of flavor, and presented with elegance.
We were referred to Neonato by Lorenzo, an employee at the hotel where we are staying, and we couldn’t be more grateful for his recommendation.
A special mention must go to Francesca, our waitress, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel even more special. Her warm service and professionalism elevated the entire experience.
Whether you are a Parisian local or a visitor discovering the city, I would highly recommend Neonato. It is a dining experience that captures the essence of Paris—elegant, warm, and...
Read moreCame here by myself as a solo female and it was definitely very welcoming. The vibe is very relaxed and warm.
I asked the server his opinion on what I should order because everything sounded good and he told me to order the seafood ravioli. Which is something I wouldn’t normally pick out for myself, but I trusted him.
And I’m glad that I did because it was very delicious. He told me to order a dessert, (because they are really good there ) but I was so full that I didn’t end up ordering a dessert. But the chef had already prepared an extra one and they gave it to me, but I declined it because I was so stuffed. I wish I would’ve tried it. I just didn’t wanna waste any food . I love that because it was very kind of them to do that for me.
Would definitely come back again they also get new dishes I believe weekly. He says the menu...
