Horrible experience at the entrance! I visited the place today, around 17h. I stood in the line to enter and when was my turn to go through security, I put my bags on the table so they can check them. But the woman working for the security started to shout and scream at me something in French, which I of course, did not understand. She was pointing all the time at the board (saying in few languages that you should give your bags to them to be searched) and telling me to read it, and I was giving my bags to her and opening them to check it and again she was pointing at the board and shounting in French. It went on for few minutes. Me giving the bags like it said and her yelling. She was so rude and unpleasant. It was horrible. She should be fired immediately. Then she looked the bags and let me through. I went to the reception to see how could I make a complaint, but the woman working there doesn't know any other language but french, of course. Terrible experience. The building is beautiful inside and outside. But people working there shouldn't be working with people at all. And could learn few more languages.

Le Capitole is the Hôtel de Ville (city hall of Toulouse) and the political and cultural heart of the city. It dominates one side of Place du Capitole, Toulouse’s main square. The name "Capitole" derives from the Capitolinum (Capitoline Hill) of ancient Rome, reflecting its civic authority. The original structure dates back to around 1190, serving as the seat of the municipal council. The current monumental building, however, was constructed and expanded between 1750 and the early 20th century, reflecting neoclassical and baroque influences. Today, it houses the mayor's office, the city council chambers, and the Théâtre du Capitole, one of France’s most respected opera houses. The interior is often open to the public free of charge, especially the Salle des Illustres, a grand ceremonial hall decorated with lavish murals and ceiling paintings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, celebrating the history and notable figures of Toulouse.
