TORRONS VICENS TOULOUSE — Local services in Toulouse

I was overwhelmed by the quantity of choice, and there was a particular torrón I wanted to try before buying. I saw the samples and I took one, without realising there was a sign saying "no removing with the hands and no self-service". I understand it was a mishap from my behalf, but staff (the lady with short, curly hair) started shouting from across the store and everybody stared at me. She could have come to me and told me discreetly what she had to say, without embarrassing me in front of the remaining customers.

I told her this twice in an assertive manner, in French, and then she started talking about me to other customers, with her back turned to me, using the word "méchante". Not what one expects from a "boutique store".

I resisted theburge tonleave abruptly, and I still bought a sugar-free torrón, which was good, because it had fresh almonds and wasn't too sweet. Also, the other staff member was nice to me (the gentleman) , hence the 2 stars instead of 1.

From now on, everytime I pass that store, I'll think of it as the store where the lady tried to humiliate me, instead of the store where I got good...

Venu participer au marathon de Toulouse, j’ai eu la belle surprise de tomber sur la boutique Turrons Vicens. La boutique est petite, mais parfaitement achalandée et d’une propreté impeccable.

La conseillère, tout en sachant que j’étais Madrilène, arrivé en avion sans bagage en soute et donc limité dans mes achats, a pris le temps de me faire une dégustation exceptionnelle, me faisant découvrir des variétés de turrons que je n’avais jamais goûtées, même à Madrid ! Elle m’a également présenté toutes les nouveautés avec une passion communicative.

L’accueil a été chaleureux, professionnel et d’une rare qualité : jamais je n’avais reçu d’explications aussi détaillées et intéressantes sur les turrons.
