Rice On! Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

I recently visited Rice On!, an Asian restaurant located in the food court at Berlin Central Station. We tried a few dishes, including:

Chicken with rice, salad, beans, and cranberries – a healthy and flavorful combination with a nice balance of sweet and savory.

Vegan chicken with rice, salad, and Thai green curry with vegetables – a hearty and satisfying plant-based option, rich in flavor and very filling.

We paid around 30€ for three items, which felt a bit expensive for a food court meal, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients made it worth it. Everything tasted healthy and well-prepared.

Located at the right spot at the very entrance of Food court in Berlin Central train station, this Asian food joint is more than awesome for its food quality, taste and price! Service is courteous and quick and the meal portions are great enough to fill hungry tummies either before the journey or after! The taste is one of the true definitions of fusion with all overlapping on one another like Indian, Chinese, Thai and Malaysian, suiting all types of taste buds. We bought their chicken ball bowl and tofu bowl and both were simply great! There is a great differentiator in the name of various sauces they carry like green sauce, red sauce, peanut sauce and tamarind sauce and all sauces are great! English: I am extremely disappointed with my restaurant experience. I bought 2 bowls of rice for me and my uncle, who cannot eat sweet dishes. Unfortunately, despite asking for a spicy sauce, the rice was sweet. When I asked for a solution, the cashier made me taste another sauce, which was also sweet. Instead of rectifying their mistake, the cook attempted a sarcastic approach by adding water to the rice and claiming that it would spice up the dish. Even after indicating that the issue was the sweetness, the cook deliberately came out of the kitchen and added two chilis to the dish already mixed with water. Faced with this disrespectful and dishonest behavior, I decided to leave and asked them to keep the bowl as a gift. It was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and disrespectful behavior of the staff. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning.

Deutsch: Ich bin äußerst enttäuscht von meinem Restaurantbesuch. Ich habe 2 Schüsseln Reis für mich und meinen meinen Onkel gekauft, der keine süßen Gerichte essen kann. Leider war der Reis trotz meiner Bitte nach einer scharfen Sauce süß. Als ich nach einer Lösung fragte, ließ mich der Kassierer eine andere Sauce probieren, die ebenfalls süß war. Anstatt ihren Fehler zu korrigieren, versuchte der Koch eine sarkastische Herangehensweise, indem er Wasser zum Reis hinzufügte und behauptete, dass dies das Gericht würzen würde. Selbst nachdem ich darauf hingewiesen hatte, dass das Problem die Süße war, kam der Koch absichtlich aus der Küche und fügte dem bereits mit Wasser gemischten Gericht zwei Chilis hinzu. Angesichts dieses respektlosen und unehrlichen Verhaltens beschloss ich zu gehen und bat sie, die Schüssel als Geschenk zu behalten. Es war eine äußerst frustrierende und enttäuschende Erfahrung.
