Rhein-Seilbahn — Local services in Cologne

I took this ride on April 13 of 2024. As I was getting into the 🚡 cable car , The employee closed the door on my finger . Causing lots of pain and injury on my thumb. While I know it was not intentional and he apologized right away and took me inside to get help , I just need to post this because they should do better . I was the only one at the moment to board , and there was no need to have the cable car so fast , plus if you’re closing the doors manually and SO STRONG, you should make sure people are seated and nothing is on the gate 😪. Being injured is BAD , but it’s even worse when you’re traveling and have to deal with luggage and activities.

Having your right thumb injured and in pain causes a lot of inconveniences, so I just hope they read this and reflect and do better. I know it can be a repetitive job , but please pay attention for people’s safety .

I’ve been to many gondolas before and this is the first time and accident happens. I had to go the hospital 🏥 and they say I’d probably loose my nail, it’s been a week and I still can’t use my hand like I normally do . I tried to upload some pictures but I guess I can’t for policies guidelines.

dont forget to visit it if you had a chance a visit Köln Zoo (not more that 3 minutes from the Zoo) nice experience (not huge but ok)... personally i have has ticket to take me and return me back... have reserved my ticket directly from the station that's why i had to wait about 15 minutes in the queue (its possible to buy a ticket online and go directly without waiting) you will have the chance to see the beautiful Köln from up... nice view negative point .... if you buy a ticket like my ticket (take you and return you back) you have to switch the cabinet in the station in the other side....
