Fromanda China Restaurant — Restaurant in Cologne

Small, family run Chinese restaurant. We ate in twice and had takeaway on several occasions and were never disappointed. In short: Great value whilst not skipping on quality.

Since it's a small kitchen, receiving a lot of takeaway orders may result in somewhat longer waiting times when dining in. On the other hand, when picking up the food personally, I always had to rush to make it in time, as waiting times were only ~15 minutes.

Most importantly, the food has been great consistently, is freshly made and the portions are generous. Two portions easily leave an extra meal for the other day, even when skipping starters.

Yes, "Höfchen" is probably the best Chinese restaurant in town, but if you're in the area, Fromanda has a great variety of quality dishes going for it. Or...

This is an excellent restaurant. It is quite small with only 8 tables. However, the flavors are very amazing. I had piping got Wonton soup with the spicy chicken. The only thing that I didn't like was that my meal came with peanuts on the chicken, but they were not listed on the menu.

The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. The staff are helpful, but not overly so. I highly recommend...

Unser Besuch im "Fromanda" war eine äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung, insbesondere für eine Familie mit Kindern. Schon bei unserer Ankunft spürten wir eine spürbare Kälte vom Personal, was den Eindruck vermittelte, dass Kinder hier nicht nur ungern gesehen, sondern regelrecht unerwünscht sind.

Die unfreundliche Behandlung erreichte ihren Höhepunkt, als Kinder einer anderen Familie, die unschuldig nach einem Lutscher fragten – welche offen als Dekoration ausgestellt waren – vom Personal nicht nur barsch abgewiesen, sondern zusammen mit ihrer Familie regelrecht aus dem Restaurant komplimentiert wurden. Diese Vorgehensweise war nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern auch zutiefst unangebracht und verletzend.

Das Restaurant scheint weder die Einrichtung noch das Personal zu haben, das in der Lage ist, adäquat auf Familien mit Kindern einzugehen. Ich rate allen Eltern dringend ab, das "Fromanda" zu besuchen, wenn Sie mit Ihren Kindern einen angenehmen Abend verbringen möchten.
