A big disappointment! We went there on Saturday evening and we were all totally disappointed by the terrible food and rude staff. They had got our order wrong and were very rude when I approached them and tried to get it right. Onion soup didn’t taste anything like onion soup not even talking about the weird service - some of us had already finished their food when others hadn’t even received their food. When ordering steak nobody had asked how we’d like to have it done and it basically tasted like chewing gum, totally overdone. When we complained to a waiter he basically said he doesn’t care that we’re not satisfied. 4 of us were already finished with dinner when one of us was still waiting for their main so we went to complain, yet again, when we were told they are simply just busy and gave us schnitzle which even wasn’t for our table! After all they tried to charge me for food I had ordered but never received as they messed up our order. The best part of this whole experience was their food presentation, it was so ridiculous that we had to take picture! The only good thing about this place is the location everything else...

Never in my life we ate in the highly rated restaurant where everything was worse than bad, just terrible. Onion soup. Raw, lightly boiled onions, still crispy in plain water with absolutely no flavor. Piece of stale bread on top, covered with burned cheese, the cheese texture of a shoe sole. This soup was simply inedible. Zander/walleye fish. Main course. I believe it was kept at room temperature couple days, and then in freezer for 5 years. Unpleasant taste and smell. Also, very small piece. I could not eat it. Steak. So tough. We had to saw it to 2mm slices to be able to swallow. Pasta with chantelliers mushrooms. Grossly overcooked. Apple strudel. All the dough layers were hard to the degree that we were puzzled how it was possible to bring the dough to that condition. We just scratched a little apple mass from between the layers. Also, after a while, sun started blinding us through the window. The waiter told us they do not have any curtains to help.

Overall - once in a lifetime experience we will never forget how bad it was. The party for 5...

There is no better more authentic place in Nuremberg to eat.

We were welcomed with a German smile (small smirk) and sat down immediately. Mind you we got there at about 3:30ish. Which means they were not that busy. But I.y opinion if you want full attention and not a rushed service, early is the way to go.

We ordered a Smorgasbord style dish and a specialty dish. The Smorgasbord style dish provided all the typical German style fare such as sausage,pork,chicken and beef with saurkraut and potatoes. Great for young adults. My wife and I shared a delicious house salad with a very special Lover and Onion plate. If you are adventurous you should try this.
