ARTOTEL Haniman Ubud - Bali — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We arrived today so not much to say . when my wife and I went into the room ( ground floor ) it wasn’t what we expect from the pictures . Our bedroom is nice and they made a nice flower bouquet for our Honeymoon but there is a awfull smell in the bathroom and big problem for me the window is facing a brick wall . With a tiny bit of light . My issue is not to much the room but I am claustrophobic … I went to see the staff to ask to switch room but it seems the hotel is fully booked even thought we saw people checking in after us . No solutions was made for the first night . I will update this post as soon as this situation change . I don’t normally give bad stars since I am in Bali ( we have done 9 hotels so far ) . But right now I think they could have found better solutions. We will find another place for tonight . Next time they should put the right pictures of the room.

Update : we ve spent the night somewhere else but the staff were nice and says they apologies about not being able to do anything .

UPDATE 2 : we arrive the day after and we ve got welcome by the staff . We had an upgraded room not facing a wall , and they offered us different services to apology about not being able to help the night before . We re now waiting to see if they will do the extra by refunding the first night . But thank you to the staff for doing their best .

UPDATE 3 : The staff is so nice ! And we had an amazing massage and laundry offered by the staff to apology .

To recap : Mistakes happen but real service was there the next day and they have been more than amazing with us ....

A small and cosy boutique hotel with minimalist vibes. The bed was comfortable and the room is spacious and clean. Staff were quick to respond when we called them for various things e.g. toothpaste, to borrow a kettle, when we couldn't get the TV and lights to work (confusing switches). The pool is small but well maintained. Toiletries were good quality, but they don't provide conditioner.

The only complaint I have is that there are not enough mirrors in the room. For 2 females staying together, it was a struggle to get ready in the morning with only one mirror. One more mirror (with a light above it) in the room would be perfect.

Location was excellent, about 5 minutes' walk to the centre of Ubud (Coco Supermarket, Pison cafe) and plenty of shops and eateries. Flock Cafe attached to the hotel had delicious cafe meals (portions were a little small) and excellent coffee - plus guests get 20% off. Guests also get 50% off at the in-house Kamalika Spa - really value for money for the professional treatment.

If you don't want to venture too far for meals, a little warung opposite the hotel opens at 9am and serves up freshly cooked mie goreng, nasi goreng and other hot food. Lady owner is friendly and kind and her stall is neat and clean.

A few steps further up the road is another eatery, Warung Pondok Madu, which offers Bali's famous BBQ ribs in various flavours and other Indonesian favourites as well as Western food. Reasonably...

The most important thing to consider when deciding on accommodation on this trip is that a woman has to stay alone.|I put a lot of importance on cleanliness,|I like quiet and cozy spaces. That's how I decided to stay at ARTOTEL HANIMAN UBUD.||The bottom line was that the accommodation was much better than I thought.|They welcomed me even though I arrived much earlier than the check-in time, and when I left my luggage behind and went to the afternoon schedule, they already brought my luggage to the accommodation.||The room condition was good and the cleaning condition was excellent.|I decided to go to a nearby accommodation to go yoga in Ubud, and the yoga Barn, the Radiantly yoga, and Alchemy yoga were all about 5-10 minutes by motorcycle, so the traffic was good.||Even though I couldn't drink the welcome drink because I was busy, I had plenty of time to use it|You took good care of me even though I went to drink before the check-out.|I got a discount and had breakfast, and it tasted good.|My accommodation was on the second floor and I was thinking about how to put my luggage down in the morning. The landscaping staff carried my luggage downstairs in the morning. When I left my luggage after checking out and came back, they welcomed me and helped me move my luggage.||I loved every detail, and I appreciated everything.|I'm going to Ubud again someday, but I'll use it...
