Dear Manager,
I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the continued obstruction of the footpath outside The Gingerman Public House by patrons consuming alcohol from your premises. This issue has become increasingly hazardous for pedestrians, who are forced to step onto the road, putting them at serious risk from passing traffic.
The footpath is designated for pedestrian use and should remain clear at all times to ensure public safety. Unfortunately, it appears that patrons frequently congregate outside the premises, disregarding the rights and safety of pedestrians. This situation is not only an inconvenience but also a serious threat to public well-being. Given the current circumstances, it is only a matter of time before a preventable accident or even a fatality occurs.
I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this issue, whether by implementing stricter policies, ensuring patrons remain within designated outdoor areas, or working with local authorities to find a safer solution. The respect and safety of pedestrians should be a priority, and I trust that you will address this matter...
Read moreVisited during Christmas and the decorations were amazing! Literally every square inch of space was covered in Christmas decor.
Aside from that, the food was good. The fish and chips were perfect, but the steak sandwich was an actual steak between bread; it was a bit tough to eat.
The service was also a bit odd. Our server asked for our drink order, then acted very strange when we asked for a beer/drink menu. She didn’t return to our table for about 15 minutes and then still didn’t bring us drinks, so we ended up getting our drinks at the bar. I’m not sure if she couldn’t understand our accents or if we were supposed to order drinks at the bar, but it was a pretty strange experience to say the least. We’ve been to several other Ginger Man locations in the US and have always had great experiences, so I’ll assume this server was just having...
Read moreAwesome, traditional spot with a very pleasant sheltered outdoor seating area. Staff service is friendly and it's a firm favorite for an afternoon pint, or for a long evening of yapping with a gang of mates or anytime really. Like maybe now? Food is… well, it's not great but it'll provide soakage if you're feeling the effects. Now, it's not really a rugby pub, but it's a grand spot to head to for either pre or post-game pints on match days at the Aviva – it never gets as packed as Slattery's or the Grand Canal Hotel, since it's well back on the route into town, but it catches enough of the crowds to keep the atmosphere going and they'll also have the telly showing whatever other matches are on. Reputedly a Fine Gael drinking den and several politicians run down here when they're finished at the Dáil for the day. At 1pm, or...
