My family and I visited Ireland this year for our boys senior graduation trip. Our first stop on our trip was in Dublin and we stayed at the Alex hotel. Luckily enough The Gibger Man was located just steps away from our hotels from door. The building is located in an older area of the block and you can tell the owners had to renovate the building to suit a bar. The inside of the building is adorable in the fact that every detail lends towards the Irish history of the building and area. It was our boys first time trying Genesis and they loved it. - food cane in large portion think about sharing. - lovely taste for bar style food. - quick service. - very helpful staff.

Absolutely packed, which I'm not surprised about considering Christmas is round the corner, and it's like stepping into Santa's Workshop itself in there. We went around 1630 and were lucky enough to catch a couple leaving and give us their table. This was very very lucky as it was absolutely packed in there, with there being no where else to stand or sit. Despite this, service at the bar was quick and drinks on the edge of being expensive (this central London prices) for two spirt mixers. Pints of Guinness were being poured in bulk to speed up service. Great atmosphere, if you love Christmas, this place is a must!

Arrived in Dublin 15th March for St Patrick's weekend, was too early to check into our hotel so decided to call in here just for a drink, which then turned into having something to eat aswell, just had a club sandwich with chips but it was really nice, went in Saturday for our tea, I had fish, chips and mushy peas, boyfriend had chicken curry with chips, rice and naan bread, absolutely gorgeous, can't fault the pub or the staff, went into Dublin City for the parade and all the eating places were full so back to The Gingerman for our last afternoon, this time fish, chips and peas for both of us

Dear Manager,

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the continued obstruction of the footpath outside The Gingerman Public House by patrons consuming alcohol from your premises. This issue has become increasingly hazardous for pedestrians, who are forced to step onto the road, putting them at serious risk from passing traffic.

The footpath is designated for pedestrian use and should remain clear at all times to ensure public safety. Unfortunately, it appears that patrons frequently congregate outside the premises, disregarding the rights and safety of pedestrians. This situation is not only an inconvenience but also a serious threat to public well-being. Given the current circumstances, it is only a matter of time before a preventable accident or even a fatality occurs.

I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this issue, whether by implementing stricter policies, ensuring patrons remain within designated outdoor areas, or working with local authorities to find a safer solution. The respect and safety of pedestrians should be a priority, and I trust that you will address this matter...

Visited during Christmas and the decorations were amazing! Literally every square inch of space was covered in Christmas decor.

Aside from that, the food was good. The fish and chips were perfect, but the steak sandwich was an actual steak between bread; it was a bit tough to eat.

The service was also a bit odd. Our server asked for our drink order, then acted very strange when we asked for a beer/drink menu. She didn’t return to our table for about 15 minutes and then still didn’t bring us drinks, so we ended up getting our drinks at the bar. I’m not sure if she couldn’t understand our accents or if we were supposed to order drinks at the bar, but it was a pretty strange experience to say the least. We’ve been to several other Ginger Man locations in the US and have always had great experiences, so I’ll assume this server was just having...

Awesome, traditional spot with a very pleasant sheltered outdoor seating area. Staff service is friendly and it's a firm favorite for an afternoon pint, or for a long evening of yapping with a gang of mates or anytime really. Like maybe now? Food is… well, it's not great but it'll provide soakage if you're feeling the effects. Now, it's not really a rugby pub, but it's a grand spot to head to for either pre or post-game pints on match days at the Aviva – it never gets as packed as Slattery's or the Grand Canal Hotel, since it's well back on the route into town, but it catches enough of the crowds to keep the atmosphere going and they'll also have the telly showing whatever other matches are on. Reputedly a Fine Gael drinking den and several politicians run down here when they're finished at the Dáil for the day. At 1pm, or...
