Books Upstairs — Local services in Dublin

I didn't want to leave the shop, I could've spent absolutely forever choosing a book and chatting to the lovely staff! This place has the most beautiful cosy atmosphere, it feels almost sacred. Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the shop has so many lovely nooks with different books, I felt like a child going on an adventure or like Indiana Jones in a treasure trove! Wish I'd had time to stay and try the cafe, but I'm sure it's splendid. Complaints first: I would appreciate it if you could change the opening hours for Google. I went there last week, trusting that the café opens at 10 instead of 10.30. Could you please hire another person? There’s usually only one person who’s responsible for drinks, making sandwiches, serving, and the till. That’s too much to ask from a single human being.

Charming independent bookshop in the city center with a café hidden upstairs. From the moment you walk in the door, you’ll be greeted with a friendly and warm atmosphere. The curated collections are always worth a browse, and you’re more likely to discover some hidden gem here than in a bigger book chain that mainly focuses on the current bestseller list.
