Golden Grill Restaurant — Local services in Limerick

Oh wow my experience there was absolutely amazing I am not from limerick so I was stuck on where to get a nice meal in quite surroundings and the golden grill I had it all friendly staff from the minute I walked in the door the waitress was so nice and took my order their food was out of this world the salad and chicken fillet had me full my son amd partner had curry chips and my son said the coffee was to die for my partner loved the curry chips they did smell good and food is made fresh it's such a handy restaurant as its near all the amenities bus stop and loads of the high tail shops,for me it was a home away from home I felt completely comfortable and full it's cosy and the lady that took the bill was ever so nice I can't say enough about how good this place is so if your looking for a quiet and homely atmosphere look no further than the golden grill restaurant it has it all and from what I saw it is kid friendly and the staff are only too happy to please everyone absolutely fabulous thank you golden grill for everything and I definitely...

I felt a bit fooled by the nice marketing sign outside. The waitress was very lovely, and the owner accommodating. However, the fish and chips were very bad. Chips were soggy and barely fried. We asked for extra curry and cheese but since the cheese is raw and grated, and put on top of the lukewarm sauce, it doesn't melt. It's not palatable to eat raw cheddar just that way. The fresh cod was 5-6€ more than regular fish which makes the whole dish 15-16€. I find it very pricey for this type of casual restaurant. I would pay almost the same in Dublin in a high-end place. But regardless of the price, the batter taste wasn't there and the outside layer was soft and not crispy at all. It didn't feel like it had just been made. They didn't have any lemon in the shop, I think it's a basic ingredient to offer when you're serving fish. Couldn't truly comment on the food or service, hopefully it's fine. Hadn't been there since I was a kid and was passing hoping for a snack. I ordered at the takeaway hatch when I noticed a framed sign stating "No debit or credit cards". In the hopes it was a temporary or historical sign, I asked the lady behind the counter. I was met with an eye roll so strong I'm surprised she's not staring at the back of her own brain. Nipped over the road to Enzo's, got my quick snack and tapped my card with a lovely friendly server.
