If i could give 0 stars i would. At the age of 15 I should not be a Karen. This restaurant is the cause of my downfall. It was a treacherously bad day. All I wanted was a large chip and a bottle of coke, and to sit down out of the rain whilst I was on lunch from work. I was told to order from a set menu at a table. What I originally wanted was €3.50 and the coke would’ve been €1.90. When i looked at the menu and saw there was no plain chips, i ordered the next “appeasing” thing- Cod Fillet with Chips- which totalled €14.50 and the coke was €3. It was €12.10 extra to get in out of the weather. Luida, the waitress said “prices are different, girls”, laughed and walked away when she gave us our seats. We were waiting 25 minutes for food while that lady and other staff stood around chatting. Genuinely thought they went to Dublin for our food, or if they took it out of a bin it probably would’ve been better tasting. My Cod fell apart and some fell on the floor and the chips were hard on the outside and raw inside. My friend’s food had two black hairs in it (she’s light brown/ dark blonde). My friend had tried to order a Fanta but Luida had said they were out of Fanta yet a few minutes later what do we see but herself delivering a Fanta to a neighbouring table. I asked Luida for her name when i payed, and she was all confused and asked for my own and shook my hand. Overall I would recommend for your own well-being to boycott...
Read moreWe visited Enzo's to try the Fish and Chips. I ordered the dish, and my wife had a cheeseburger with chips.
Unfortunately, the fish and chips were extremely greasy—so much so that I couldn’t finish it due to the overwhelming oily texture and taste. The fish was very small and thin, with little flavor, and the chips were okay but overly thick and lacking crispiness.
My wife’s burger was literally just a thin patty, a slice of cheese, and a bun. Ironically, it had more of a fishy taste than the battered cod fillet itself.
I’m giving 2 stars because, after speaking with the manager—who didn’t seem very understanding and claimed that’s just how they make their fish—she offered not to charge for the fish dish. However, I agreed to pay for the burger (€9.50, comparable in size to a McDonald's cheeseburger) since my wife had eaten it. We left most of the chips behind.
The portions of chips are large, but considering the €9.50 burger and €10 fish—both extremely small for being the main part of the dish—it’s not worth it overall.
It’s disappointing because the place seems traditional and well-regarded, but I don’t think I’d return for...
Read moreWe were in Limerick for a couple of days from Dublin. Decided to go to Enzos, I had the best and freshest chips I have ever eaten, lovely fresh cod in a delicious crispy batter, great selection on the menu, it is also a takeaway but we sat in the large diner which is very comfortable and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were absolutely spotless which I think say a lot about a place as it was extremely busy the Sunday evening we were there. I have had meals in certain celebrity chef type places but I would pick Enzos above all of them. Thank you for the lovely meals. If we ever visit Limerick again we will definitely be going to...
