I had a really upsetting experience at Nancy Blake’s on 31 October 2025. My non-white friends who are doctors were denied entry by the door staff without any valid reason, even though we were sober, polite, and well-dressed. It quickly became obvious that non-white people in our group were being treated differently. White Irish patrons were allowed in easily, while non-white guests, including those of apparent Indian background, were turned away. This was clear racial discrimination, which is both unacceptable and against the Equal Status Acts. I've also taken note of multiple reviews that have the same ongoing theme of racial discrimination. This is absolutely appalling. I’ve reported the incident to management and hope they take it seriously — no one should be treated this way.

Been coming and loving this place for years (and paying good money always because we care about having a good and good time only) but we had to deal with a nonsensical robotic ‘Management has a right to deny admission’ monologue when we literally see people being allowed with a happy nod after us. Do I need to even mention we were a bunch of brown and Latina people? Sorry, that’s just on the face selective-people-only-allowed-to-have-fun attitude. Management? Hah! Try again. You won’t be getting any bucks from us anymore. Pictured: Just the lads who rattled off the ‘Management Monologue’ to us.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a true gem nestled in the heart of Limerick. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and steeped in tradition. The walls adorned with vintage photographs and memorabilia tell stories of generations past. Whether you're seeking a quiet corner to enjoy a pint or a lively gathering with friends and family, the pub offers a range of spaces to accommodate your needs. With their exceptional Guinness pour, the creamy head and the velvety smoothness will leave even the most discerning Guinness connoisseur impressed.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have been living in Limerick for two years now, I have always entered this place without any problem, I used to like it until after spending my summer in Spain and coming back the first weekend in Limerick, me and my friends went to Nancy's. When I tried to get in place, one of the bouncers, the short guy, says I can't come in because apparently I threw a glass at a girl the week before. I explained to him that he was getting confused, that it wasn't me because it was my first weekend in Limerick after my return from Spain, (besides I'm not the kind of person who throws glasses at people), he wouldn't listen to me and got aggressive. My friends also tried to explain it to him, I offered to show him my tickets or the pictures from Spain and he just said that I was not going to enter never. I was very upset, not only because of the bad treatment but also because of the unfairness of the situation. I didn't try to get in again, until last weekend, when we decided to go back as I was sure he had realized his mistake. The other bouncers let me in, but when I was inside the venue, I met this man again, who pushed me with all the people there and told me that I couldn't be there and took me to the door (throwing my drink down my shirt due to his pushes) and feeling humiliated and helpless, he didn't want to talk or listen to my explanations or those of my friends. As I left, I couldn't stop crying because of the unfairness of the situation, even the people outside the venue were outraged by the man's treatment. It was a horrible situation and the bouncer was aggressive. I could not recommend this place to anyone when one person like him can ruin your night so much. Avoid this place, discrimination at its worst in...

Good spot, the food is great the service is (usually) top notch and the price isn't too much.

I've been coming here for years (including a few years where I probably shouldn't have). However, the service we received yesterday was just.. odd.. and it wasn't just me that noticed it, and it really bothered us.

Basically, after we were seated and our orders taken (outside), the barman would just... Linger.. near our table. Not near anyone elses, and he wasn't even trying to make himself look busy. He made it clear that he was standing near to us with the intent of overhearing our conversation. (What he wanted to hear I don't know, but he was making it quite clear that he wanted to hear it).

It honestly, made us quite uncomfortable for a while and we were considering leaving because of it, but thankfully after a large gathering came in after us he quickly dispersed from his perch over our shoulder.

Honestly, it felt like that barman was making assumptions about my colleagues and myself and regretted his decision to allow us to eat in their bar, because some of my colleagues were younger, (but still old enough to legally be there) and was looking for an excuse to remove us. (Which I'm sure he would have regretted as we ended up being around a €600 table).

So yeah, tip to the tall black haired barman from yesterday. Don't perch, people notice and people don't like it.

To the bar: you usually do well, and I'll call this a once off. But if I or my company are made that uncomfortable by a staff member again, we will leave and never come back. It really just gave us...

Bouncers were being racist and discriminatory. Friends and I were visiting for a bit and saw Nancy's, decided to check it out, but we were denied because of how we looked. We were all dressed nice as well. I remember looking them in the face as I walked towards the door and I can see them talk amongst eachother while laughing at us. Not a good feeling because we are all human living on this one world. What makes you better than me or me better than you? Nothing. We live to explore this world, make some impact, and pass on to the next. I understand they have a job to do but I can't help but feel like they pick and choose who gets to come in. I feel like they hate their job so they project that on to the potential customers. Anyways, felt like it was worth writing a review so other people would be aware. No hate to the business. It looks cool. Just the bouncers need to reflect...
