HIGHLY OVERRATED AND EXPENSIVE. This is an easy review. To start with, extremely hard to find parking space. We drove around twice and ended up parking in Dunes store parking (8€ for 3 hours). Then, once in the restaurant, service was utterly disappointing. We had to chase down waiters/waitresses to order drinks. Food was ok given this is a buffet restaurant. There were very little offerings and given the time I was there, most of the dishes were not replaced. However, price was a major blow. I'm not sure I got all the value for the money I was supposed to get. Not even sure this place offers great value for money. It's not all negatives. The place is really nicely decored offering a pleasant ambience. So, this can be a good place for special occasions and celebrations.

On my opinion, there is a high price. The food is good, there is not too much to choose from (can compare to Dublin's ones). There is a lot of desserts. The food taste was nice. There is a coffee machine included already in price, which is amazing. We came to the restaurant without booking (5 adults and child). The receptionist said that there is no places, but i asked about separate places for 4 and 2. He was walking around for few minutes and finally offered tables for 4 and 2, but with a limited time to 1 hour 10 minutes. Of course I thank him for that. But while we were sitting there there was few spaces free around. So, this is point to think. It was nit bad, but in Dublin there are better places with great choice and cheaper price.

We came to try it, we have been curious for a long time, for me the space is beautiful, the recepcion whas not good, the staff lacks friendliness not all of them, as well lacks attention to the customer, the food leaves something to be desired, it has no great flavor, and it is not replenished, The Robot that was a traction for us, unfortunately was not there to serve us, it was just serving as a transport of dishes for the employees to place, for me the best were the cocktails were beautiful and tasty, unfortunately I didn't go back on purpose, I expected much more.

What's not to love about the Jasmine Palace?

Probably the prices are the only thing but then again with this probably being the most popular Chinese style restaurant on the main Street in Limerick city centre could you expect lower prices?

The food is top class, the service is generally very professional in this very busy establishment.

Booking in advance is generally recommended as it's popular here but it sometimes is possible to get a table if you don't mind a short wait.

One can eat from the A la Cart menu which offers a good selection of dishes or one can eat from the buffet.

The buffet, depending on the time of the week and day that you go offers a good or great selection of dishes. More popular times offer the best variety with less popular times having a more limited selection. Some Indian cuisine is offered as is Sushi do if you want the wisest dining experience then wait to go at a popular time which is generally a Thursday, Friday night or at the weekend.

Buffet dishes are well observed by staff and regularly refilled so you can be sure the food there is fresh. Bottomless refillable soft drinks are available as is ice. Bottles of tap water are available free of charge and can be collected by the diner or brought around by waiting staff.

An ice cream machine is included in the price as is a chocolate fountain. These are a hit with adults and children alike.

A good range of desert's are available too.

There is typically a two hour requested dining limit during busy periods but I've never witnessed anybody being asked to leave.

There is no limit to the amount of food one can eat nor is there a limit to the amount of times one can get a plate of food. This is excellent as one can sample as many different dishes from the starter, main course or desert selection as one wishes with no restriction on going back for as much or different dishes as one wishes. A continual supply of fresh ware and cutlery is available with staff discretely removing used ware.

The bathrooms are clean and large enough for a large venue.

The buffet dining area changes layout on occasion so the establishment always stays fresh.

Overall one would find it hard to fault anything about the Jasmine Palace apart from the fact that if one is seated adjacent to the rear area of the desert coolers then one is in for a VERY warm dining experience indeed. Avoid this area as the hot air from the refrigeration units is not vented externally and as the venue get warmer the open fronted refrigeration units work harder to cool the deserts which makes the venue warmer, resulting in the desert coolers working harder... Well you get the idea, it gets uncomfortably hot seated to the rear of cooler units...Other than that there is little not to like at the...

I have been a regular customer of your restaurant for some time now, but I never expected my visit on my son's birthday to be such a disappointment. While enjoying our meal as usual, the staff at the noodle’s order area were talking loudly, so I waited for them to finish before placing my order. A chef wearing a white hat came to take my order, and I requested a bowl of food with two skewers of tofu, two skewers of mushrooms, two skewers of fish balls, and some lettuce. I also informed the chef that I did not want any noodles. However, he responded in a very arrogant tone that I could not order that way. He stated that his company policy required customers to order noodles and only select three side dishes. He said that it was okay this time, but it wouldn't be allowed next time. I explained that we were a group of four people and would be sharing the food. Did we have to order four separate bowls of food? The chef replied, "Yes!" I then asked if we had to order noodles even if we didn't want them, and if it was okay to waste food. He answered with a fake smile, "Yes, that's the rule. There's nothing I can do."When I asked why the rule was not clearly stated for customers to see, he told me that he was telling me verbally. He then asked if this was my first time at the restaurant, I told him that I had been there many times before, and no one had ever objected to my ordering in this way. The entire dining experience was ruined for me because of this incident. I have never received such terrible service in my life. If the chef had explained the rule to me politely, I would have accepted it. However, his arrogant attitude was...

So so Good. I love the food, even as a vegetarian lots of great options. I loved the fried cauliflower and the cocktail I had was so delicious. Only improvement would be to watch the ice cream/chocolate fountain section. Their was children that made a mess putting ice cream in chocolate fountain despite a sign saying do not put ice cream in chocolate fountain and one child was dipping his finger in the mint ice cream and licking it and putting it back in and out, some people may say the section is for the kids, but as an adult I enjoy ice cream and some melted chocolate with some cake so I'd love it not to be contaminated. Isn't it only fair for any adult to enjoy it aswell as kids. Obviously it's not the restaurants fault a child would do this or be unsupervised by parents but I think an improvement on their part would be to have a staff member there at all times watching and being able to say no or catch...
