Vincenzo’s Grill House — Restaurant in Limerick

We came here in April 2022 for a surprise 40th birthday party for my cousin. This restaurant was Murphy's law in the flesh. First, our booking time came and went, there was a hen party in the space we were to be using after them, and the staff did not move them on. In the end we had minutes to tear down their decorations and get up ones for my cousin's party. He came in and we weren't ready. He was still surprised, but surprised at the bar, not in the decorated area where we would be eating.

Second, the rate the food came out was so slow. At one point my mother, finished her main course (we ordered the same thing), got up and walked past me and was surprised I was still eating. At that point only part of my food was on the table, they were still bringing it out. The service was shockingly bad.

Third, my aunt paid for everyone's meal (the mother of the birthday boy). She got no food. She has a disabled daughter and needed to get back to her at a certain time. Her food was not ready by the time she left.

Fourth, my aunt paid in advance for a certain number of people. About three or four of these did not show up. Around the same number opted to not have a starter which was included in what my aunt paid for. Another three or four chose steak as their main course. They still charged my cousin (sister of the birthday boy) this supplement even though three or four meals that were paid for weren't eaten and some people didn't have starters.

We had a good evening, but it was because of the craic of being with family, the restaurant did everything they could to ruin it.

I'm writing this review at this time, because I just heard the local radio is doing a giveaway of a starter and main for 10 people. You'll be sorely disappointed. They can't make more than two or three meals at time. I wouldn't even go back if you gave me the meal for...

We have visited this restaurant for a Mother's Day occasion. The restaurant was quite crowded as we got there. The atmosphere was chaotic, all of the waitresses were running around the place, not knowing who's food goes to which table, we paid attention to other people sitting at nearby tables, they all seemed disappointed with the service. We have been waiting for a good while for someone to take our order. Got served by four different waitresses altogether, which did not seem very consistent to us.. as we just ordered our food, straight away few minutes later the waitress arrived with the starter, which seemed too good to be true for it to be cooked so fast - well, the chicken wings were burnt and super dry, almost like they were sitting there for a good while. The main dishes took a while to be cooked, that's understandable due to the busyness. As the food came around, we've asked for mayo three continuous times, the waiter kept bringing two sachets every time, although there were four of us at the table and it was simply not enough. At last, one of our side dishes was missing for all that time, we were asking for it multiple times, however none of them knew what was going on, and it finally arrived as we all finished our meals.. So in a nutshell, the staff were lovely and kind, however, the was no system in the way they were serving tables which was constantly causing a chaos around! Food was just okay considering.. Not a pleasant first impression, which will most likely prevent us from coming back...

I don't understand how this restaurant is doing so well. Firstly staff coming over and asking for your order literally 2 mins after sitting down and then returning every 30 secs to see if ye are ready. When we ordered that was fine. Starter were nice nothing to write home about. Main courses were not great. Firstly chunky chips was on menu and when they arrived they were like McDonald's chips and when asked waiter was that chunky chips he replied yes these are the only chips we have. So that wasn't a great start. My partner ordered lamb shanks from menu, potatoes was watery, very little meat on the lamb shanks. And veg was inedible. Most of meal went back. And then to top it all off we were all having a drink once meal was finished and chatting as you do and a young fella in a suit came over and asked us to move tables as they were fully booked for dinner. We were barely at table for 90 mins and they was a good few tables empty. He told us we have prepared a table (smaller and sitting on bar stools). This was really an very unacceptable experience and we will not be ever returning here. And also it's very overpriced for what you get in a normal gastropub. Would not...
