Poor experience: ordered by app at 18.54. App said it would be delivered in 24 mins. Time of delivery arrives and no food. Called Tallght branch at 19.25, asking where food was, man sounded panicked. He said 'order wasn't received, they'll make fresh batch and get it out asap but they having trouble with drivers as Christmas and he'd ring me back'. Rang again at 19.42, order still wasn't located and they were making it now, said 'they're cooking it from fresh, confirmed order'. Called at 20.10, was told 'delivery driver should be with you at any time'.
Camilles said they would provide 3 main meals on next delivery as compensation.
Delivery driver calls at 20.34, he's opposite Molloys by Icelands, advised thats not my location, he told me I must have given the wrong eircode, confirmed it was correct. Explained where my location was, after he got annoyed and told me to be patient, he said he'd bring me the food after I said I wasn't going to walk to his location. 20.44 driver declined my call. 20.45 driver said my eircode has taken to same location so its my fault.
20.54 phone Camilles to advise burrito and springs rolls I paid extra for are missing.
Camilles said they would deliver order again, I agreed as there was a lot missing.
This whole time, I was getting ready to go to the airport, and all this hassle made me late. It was a massive inconvenience!!!
I've never worked so hard to try and get a food delivery.
It was upsetting also.
The delivery driver decided to lecture my children when they eventually collected the delivery from him (as i was desperately trying to get ready), he said 'if I didn't care so much about this delivery I'd of not bothered at all', really? What an attitude...!
So 2 hours after I ordered the food it arrived minus the dishes along with lots of phone calls and expected to be grateful for the condescending manner in which the driver spoke to me and my children!
Shocked by this company after 5 years of using Camilles, I hope everyone reads this and thinks twice...
Read moreBit of a disaster tonight I'm afraid, I order a good bit from Camile and especially from the Tallaght branch. Tonight I went in to order a take-away, 40 mins later I'm still sitting waiting on my food. I asked where I was in the line and was told maybe another 30 mins. Everyone who was waiting on an order was really annoyed. The delivery drivers were coming in and cursing the back up of orders that was waiting for them. Walkins were being put off to place order by being told that the waiting time was 45 mins, the phone lines were turned off and from sitting alongside the kitchen, the majority of the staff had just lost it with stress. It is great to see a business busy but you guys need to put on extra staff at weekends. After waiting the 40 mins and being told to wait another 30 mins I asked for my money back and they gladly gave it to me. I suppose it was 1 less customer to worry about. I've seen the owners in this restaurant in the past and seen how proud they were to recently achieve the franchise and I was very happy for them but I just wish they seen service tonight.
