From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. Well, Aon Scéal is the slice of Italy in this scenario. Only replace Italy with Ireland. This cafe truly feels Irish to the bone- and I love it!

The staff are extremely sociable and approachable, and the food, coffee, and tea are some of the best in Dublin.

The atmosphere is calm yet lively enough to keep you from leaving after a cuppa like most other big-chain cafes.

On this day when our new President Catherine Connolly is inaugurated, I want convey my appreciation and that of my friends for the wonderful Aon Scéal Café where weekly we practice our cupla focal with the friendly and helpful staff. We usually have lunch choosing from delicious sandwiches, soup, coffee and cake. Just lately a beef stew has been added to the menu and it is delicious.
