Hurling Tours Ireland — Local services in The Municipal District of Kilkenny City

An absolute MUST DO when going to Ireland. Hurling is the national sport and there are flags up in every county displaying their teams colors. The Hurling Tours Ireland gave an amazing first experience learning the game of hurling. The best part is that this was an awesome activity for every age. Our group had a 6 yo and an 76 yo and they all were able to participate and had a great time. James gave a presentation about the sport and then we were off to the pitch to be hands on with the hurl & sliotar. He always kept it fun and funny and encouraged everyone to keep trying. My family had so much fun! The kids can’t stop talking about it, and we even went into town afterwards and bought a hurl and sliotar and have been practicing some of the techniques on our own. (And some Kilkenny bracelets, as now we will forever have to support Kilkenny!) It was a very informative history lesson too. Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Kilkenny. We went as a group of 80 for a company offsite, all different nationalities and capabilities and each and every person thoroughly enjoyed it. James gave a very informative talk at the start and then we were out on to the pitch to learn some skills and do some drills, all coaching staff were fantastic. The grounds themselves are beautifully maintained, well done to all involved.
