Starbucks — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Kilkenny City

Had a horrible experience in there today with a worker I assume is the manager.

She is a mid height woman with slim build, long blond ponytail with blue eyes wearing no apron at times and brown hair before her ponytail.

I asked this worker if she wouldn’t mind separating the ice and drink to which she decided to mansplain that I’d “still be getting the same amount of drink nonetheless” and assumed that was the reason I needed the separate cup. I asked for oat milk and she asked me “do you have an issue?” I was about to respond it was ok, and she cut across me and said “you do”.

Then myself and my three friends heard her talking about me saying “there’s a queue of customers you know what I mean, I don’t have time for that ” and mumbling other stuff about me. She was trying to make it very evident that she was displeased with me and she made me so uncomfortable.

I had the pleasure of being looked after by Ellie at the Kilkenny store … To say she just a lovely person is an understatement.. She was just so polite and went above and beyond to be just a happy helpful person .. I wasn’t having the best day but to say her kindness and being a genuine nice person really turned what was a disasterous day around…...

A typical shopping mall Starbucks with perfunctory not-overly-friendly staff, but it appears to be Kilkenny"s only Sbux. That's a pity in a tourist magnet like this medieval town. Most of it is in the mall's glass-roofed courtyard, but it does have an inner room with comfortable upholstered seating more conducive to computer and tablet work, or...
