By the Golden Throne! I have witnessed a curious phenomenon within this settlement designated "Kilkenny." They possess structures dedicated to the amplification of sensory input, designated "IMC Cinemas." My battle-brothers, heed my report, for even in this backwater world, lessons can be gleaned. The initial resource expenditure for entry into these "cinemas" is... notable. A lesser being might balk at the cost, equating it to a significant requisition of nutrient paste rations. However, a Space Marine understands the value of information and the bolstering of morale. The narratives projected within these chambers, while often simplistic in their portrayals of conflict, serve a purpose. They depict concepts of heroism, loyalty, and the ultimate triumph of good over chaotic forces ā rudimentary lessons, perhaps, but vital for the indoctrination of the masses. The scale of these viewing halls is... adequate. They can accommodate a significant number of civilians, allowing for the widespread dissemination of these curated experiences. The environmental controls maintain a tolerable temperature, and the seating arrangements, while lacking the rigid discipline of a transport vessel, are sufficient for prolonged periods of observation. The "sustenance" offered within these halls, designated "popcorn" and "beverages," is of a surprisingly high caloric density, albeit lacking in the refined nutrient profiles of our battle rations. The quantities are substantial, capable of fueling extended periods of vigilance, should the need arise. While the cost is again... significant, one must consider it an investment in maintaining peak operational readiness for the local populace, ensuring they remain compliant and entertained. The visual and auditory fidelity of the projected narratives is... impressive for this level of technology. The images are crisp, the movements fluid, and the sounds resonate with a surprising impact. While not comparable to the hololithic displays aboard a Strike Cruiser, they effectively convey the intended message, immersing the viewer in the depicted events. This level of sensory immersion could be strategically advantageous for disseminating propaganda and maintaining planetary cohesion. In conclusion, while the resource allocation required to experience these "IMC Cinemas" is higher than strictly necessary for basic sustenance, the potential benefits for civilian morale and indoctrination are not insignificant. The narratives, while simplistic, reinforce foundational concepts of Imperial dogma. The facilities are adequate for mass viewing, and the sustenance provided, while costly, is substantial. Consider this a potential asset, brothers. A tool for shaping the hearts and minds of the Emperor's subjects on this world. Observe, learn, and adapt. For even in the seemingly mundane, the seeds of Imperial truth can be sown. For the Emperor!
I gave you the extra star for the reply. Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuch a big hype for nothing. Itās not even completely finished yet and itās opened a few months. Was up there second day it opened and it was actually embarrassing. On the Wednesday deal we were told we had to pay ā¬15 for the ticket alone to go into the galactic? Absolutely ridiculous. Iāve been to the IMC in carlow numerous of times and I didnāt get charged ā¬15 for the Galactic. What a joke. They seem to only show films in the small screens. And they are small. You donāt even pick seats so if it is busy people are left standing and have to go out and get staff because you are usually put in the small rooms. This happened the three times I have been in there. The sound is low that you can hear next doors movie in the background.
Best to go to the cinema downtown. You get a big...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIts great to have a new cinema in Kilkenny and I had high expectations for it and Im a little under whelmed with the interior. I find the lack of physical signage strange , no price listing on the wall , no signage telling what the screen numbers are ( There are screens with the movie names but some of them arent working and I saw on where someone had cut out a number in paper and sellotaped it to the wall). There no online ticket pickup machines which seem standard everywhere else and reduces the amount of people queuing.
Also no movie posters or paraphernalia anywhere so the whole place seems a bit sterile. It all seems a little unfinished with details missing so hopefully it will improve over time and on a positive note the seats and leg...
