Nore Asian Street Food — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Kilkenny City

Went to this place tonight to eat a quick dinner after a long day. Got to say - it was the worst customer experience I have had in Kilkenny. We arrived with our special needs girl which always creates a fuss because her actions tend to draw peoples attention. Got her sat down and ordered our food. Five minutes into dinner she decided she did not want to sit down any longer. I had to take her out to the car to stop things deteriorating. My wife was left to sort out getting everything packed to go. Asked for a box and was told it would cost 50cents (we just spent around €60 in the place). My wife pointed out that I had taken my wallet with me. The cashiers response was that it would come out of her tips??? That was even though we were not taking the 3 ice-creams that came with the meal. Asked for names to complain - wouldn't give them. Told us that the would "pass-on" our comments. Well - that has made me determined to make sure they are passed on to one and all! Will not...

Based on the reviews, I decided to visit this place for some Asian street food, but I was left disappointed. The first issue was the young lady at the counter, who seemed to genuinely dislike her job.

I ordered two different Asian dishes and a can of San Pellegrino. I usually avoid drinking directly from cans due to potential germs, and this one was visibly dirty. When I asked for a cup, I was informed that none were available. Requesting the can to be cleaned felt like a major inconvenience to the staff member, who was clearly unhappy with my request.

The food itself was overpriced and failed to deliver authentic Asian quality. It seems more suited for takeaway and might appeal to those with low expectations or little experience with genuine Asian cuisine.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for quality Asian street food or good...

Tasty food, great location, but cleanliness could be improved This place is very close to the shopping centre and Kilkenny Castle, which makes it very convenient. There is a free toilet available on site. From what I observed, most of the orders are for takeaway, but there are quite a few tables available for dining in. The food was good, and the waiting time was short.

The only downside was the cleanliness of the tables. We dined in, and our table was quite sticky. I would understand if the place was very busy or understaffed, but we were the only customers eating in, and there were two staff members (not including the kitchen staff). They definitely had time to wipe the tables.
