The owners of this restaurant really need to teach their staff how to be nice and compassionate people. My brother who is Down syndrome went on a little trip from Dublin to Kilkenny with his training centre for the day. They decided to have lunch at this restaurant, everyone in the group ordered their food and my brother who is coeliac brought his own food as he does everywhere we go. The waitress told my brother that he would not be able to have his food he brought on the premises, but he did buy a drink. It was explained to them that my brother is special needs and is coeliac and cannot eat food that is mixed with other food. The waitress didnât care about this and said again he couldnât have his food on the premises. My brother had to leave his friends and go eat somewhere else that understood the situation and was happy to let him eat his food in their restaurant. This is discrimination at its finest. I am looking into taking this further as I am infuriated about how my brother was discriminated against. The way this waitress acted towards my brother is disgusting and I hope action will be taken against her as seen fit...

We thought it was most likely spoilt milk as it was only after we had our coffees that our stomachs turned. It was disappointing and put a damper on the day and this cafe, as otherwise it was a nice local cafe with decent prices and...
Read moreI dropped into the Pantry yesterday morning and ordered a Junior Breakfast! It was delicious, lovely skinless sausage, tasty black pudding, nicely cooked rasher, egg and tomato. Also toast and butter, and I also got myself a nice milky coffee.
Havenât been in the Pantry for years. I recall being there on several occasions in the past enjoying breakfast with my late sister. Breakfasts back then were lovely, freshly cooked, served up by pleasant staff. You know, with the passage of time, the breakfasts might have changed - but NO - the breakfast yesterday morning tasted exactly as before...
I would definitely recommend the Pantry if you want to experience the very best...
