Antica Salumeria Di Nicola Lapesara — Local services in Bari

We stumbled on this out-of-the-way eatery where a couple of people were eating, what looked like, food we'd like to try, so we found a seat and could not believe what we were going to be getting, this food is what "Italy" is all about and was what we been looking forward and expecting to trying.

We found Roberta, who was the server here, and asked for the same dish we saw the other's eating, she also suggested another dish of 'Prosciutto & Stracciatella with a dusting Pistachio Nuts', which we found was a delight to eat and saver.

Our main dish had at least 5 different cheese and 6 different types of Salami's and Hams, with a "Sandwich Slice" that was a mixture of Cheese & Ham, stuffed with Rocket & Nuts with a Pesto Dressing., sadly we don't know what it's called.

We rounded of the meal with a cool bottle of Peroni to help the digestion.

This is a gem of a place and is a family run enterprise, with Roberta and her parents running the establishment and it was pure luck that we found it, but we'd love to go back and sample the other fare they have to offer.

The service was not the fastest, but then again, good food is worth waiting for, Roberta was an attentive server and gave some great suggestion of the different food on offer here and it was not an expensive place to eat compare to the other establishment in the area.

I would rate this as a place to visit and sample the fare they have to offer as we think they surpass most of the other's establishment here and "yes" we would definitely return here...

Had a short stay in Bari and this is BY FAR the best attention I got in town. The girls are lovely! Plus, you cannot make a 'wrong' order, everything is just pure pleasure here. Like I have no idea what some of this is, I just know it is DELICIOUS. And the fact I need to unbutton my trousers it's another reality to consider. They are just around the corner from the Castelo and the La Strada delle Orecchiette and Santa Rita Panificio (which has INSANE focaccia btw, just got to put up with grumpy Rino) 1000% recommend.
