FLY is a very unique and special non-profit store run through FUA that allows for student designed and made items to be sold to the public. My first impression after looking into the store from the outside is that it was very organized, color coordinated, strategic, and overall looked like any other boutique I would go to. They have a great layout that organizes the clothing items on racks by color. Below the clothing are shoes that can go with that color scheme and above the clothing are other accessories. This layout allows for an envision of a complete look by the consumer which is very well thought out by the students. My favorite part of this store is it allows for the customers to know about the designer of their purchases. Read moreI love the space and many of the low key/grail products that can be found in the store. However, there needs to be more to draw customers into the store from the street. The fact that the front door is a foot or two from the sidewalk doesn't help and the window display isn't that affective even if someone walking by does notice the building. While in the store, products on display do a good job of keeping the customers interest, but after going through the racks for a few minutes, customers may lose interest due to the lack of big name brand products, which is important for younger thrift shoppers. Overall the store and its vibe are great but could use some help drawing in and keeping...
