As someone who lived in Florence for five years, I can confidently say that Antico Noè is a true gem in the city's culinary landscape. This unpretentious yet charming restaurant, tucked away in a quaint passageway, offers an exceptional dining experience.
The menu at Antico Noè showcases the culinary expertise of its team. The restaurant excels in its selection of authentic Florentine and Tuscan dishes, allowing for creativity only when it enhances the traditional fare. From the perfectly executed spaghetti carbonara to the rich and flavorful duck ragù, every dish is a masterpiece of Italian cuisine.

The service was not good from one younger female waitress, who wouldn't let my partner and me sit any earlier than our 8:30pm reservation time. She also mixed up and mis-informed us about menu items.
The other two waitresses were excellent and very attentive and helpful.
Payment did take some considerable time at the end of the meal.
Drinks:- The two house reds we tried - A Chianti and a local wine were superb.
Food:- Artichoke Salad with pecorino, 1.2kg Florentine Steak for two and side salad were all very good. The steak was a little chewy in parts. Slightly rarer than ideal inside and over-cooked on the outside. The char was delicious though.
Overall, not a great visit or experience but the food was solid and the staff's passion was clearly on show.
Worth a visit for the steak, but either sit inside or close to the restaurant and not on a table across from it...
Read moreIn a sea of Florence trattotrias, osterias and ristorantes, OSteria Antico Noe is a hidden gem. It is a small cozy place down an alley with as authentic and genuinely Florentine feel as you will find. This place is not catering to the thousands of tourists roaming the streets hitting all of the social media famed eateries. This osteria's objective is authenticity, fresh ingredients and giving their customers an excellent meal. Our server was wonderful. The menus are handwritten every night which tells you right there that all of the ingredients are fresh. The dishes are purely Florentine and all taste like they are from an old family recipe. I had roasted goat which was absolutely delicious. My family had a past and the osso bucco. We would absolutely return to try some of the other amazing dishes. If you want an authentic, low-key, delicious place to eat that has more locals than tourists, this...
