I felt really offended when I checked out at the shop. The cashier treated the white customers before me with friendliness, even saying things like, “Here’s the shop address, and if you want to buy more, you’re welcome to come again.” When it came to my turn, however, he looked at me unfriendly and, in a mean tone, said, “Is that everything?” I felt uncomfortable, but I didn’t want to make a scene, so I simply answered yes.

What made it even worse was that after my confirmation, he kept asking, “Are you really sure about it?” It felt extremely rude and offensive, showing very poor manners. I personally suspect that, because I am an Asian woman, this is why I was treated this way. It felt like a racist experience, and I believe the store did not deserve any of the money I spent there.

Still, I paid my bill because there were items my friend liked, and I didn’t want to upset her. But overall, the cashier’s behavior was extremely rude, and I personally perceived it as racist which almost...

In one week I've visited this small yet beautiful shop 3 times because I couldn't decide till the last day, which of the many stamps i should finally buy lol! The owners, a wife and husband who are running this place, their "baby", are two of the sweetest souls I've met so far in Firenze. They took the time to help me choose my wax stamps and to chat with me 🥺 i even got a small gift from both of them which i didn't expect it but i appreciate even more now. I was looking for a stationary store that had all occasion cards with art from museums. I was semi disappointed but I found much more. The store is small but filled with surprises. I found whimsical post cards, fountain pens, wax stamps along with an array of leather bound books perfect for journals etc. The best part of finding this store was meeting Ebi.
