Authentic Florentine Experience**: Da Nerbone is cherished by both locals and tourists for offering authentic Florentine street food. The food stall has been serving traditional dishes since 1872, making it a cultural staple in Florence.
Famous Lampredotto**: The lampredotto sandwich is their most iconic dish. It's served with salsa verde (a green herb sauce) and sometimes a spicy red sauce, on fresh, crusty bread. This dish is a must-try for those looking for true Florentine flavors.
Other Tuscan Dishes: Besides lampredotto, Da Nerbone offers other Tuscan specialties like **bollito (boiled beef) and ribollita (a Tuscan bread and vegetable soup), giving customers a variety of local favorites.

Limited Seating**: As it's a market stall, seating is very limited, so many customers opt to eat standing or find nearby spots in the market.
Tourist Crowds**: While it remains a favorite among locals, the high number of tourists in the Mercato Centrale can make the experience feel more crowded and less intimate during certain times of the day.

Read moreIt was just alright, good one time thing, I wouldn't wait in line for hours just for it. The bread was hard and relied heavily on the sauce to soften it up. I agree with some reviews about customer service and how they just don't care and would yell at customers if they don't understand Italian or their English with heavy accents. They also favor locals and Caucasians. I had paid for my sandwich 30 minutes prior to getting the sandwich because the meat was still being cooked in the back/kitchen, that's not the problem I can wait. But when the meat came out, the owner kept slicing up the meat for every Caucasian behind me, and he serving them the sandwich first even though I had been waiting, and didn't stop until it was another colored tourist . And he would stack the meat for the Caucasian customers on both sides of the bread, and when it came to me and other colored tourists, he only only gave us 4 to 5 slices of meat at most. At first I thought I was overthinking until I saw another worker yelling at tourists when they asked a simple question... while I was still waiting for my sandwich to be prepped and watching other people behind me enjoying their sandwiches and giving me the confused look like they're not sure why they're getting the sandwiches before me. Anyways, save yourself the trouble and go eat at the cart outside of central market or the food court above this Nerbone stand, where you get better customer service and portion. One of the most mediocre places I've ate at in...
Read moreSmall market food stall hidden in one of the corners of the market. Highly recommended for quick, cheap comfort food. Instructions weren't super straightforward but basically, you order and pay on the left and depending what you order, you either continue in line and collect your order or you move to the front right side of the stall to collect your sandwhich. There are some seats available, around 6-8 long tables, each with 6-8 seats available. Can get quite busy during peak hours.
On our first visit, we ordered the panino al lampredotto. It was super tasty. We had it spicy, and it was just perfect. The bread was soaked with the sauce from the filling, and it was very comforting.
On our 2nd visit, we got the same sandwhich as well as the risotto and trippa alla fiorentìna. The risotto was cold and had a very rough beans-like texture to it. I wasn't a fan, but my partner loved it. The trippa all fiorentina didn't look like the photo I saw on google. It was simpler but still very nice! It would've been nice if it came with some bread - maybe it should've, but the lady who served us forgot?...
