We had lunch in the seated area and experienced quite bad service: we had to find menus ourselves, then we were served plastic glasses even if on other tables there were real glasses. We also didn't get bread - after asking for it we were notified that the restaurant is out of bread. The pieces of vegetables in my salad were so big that I couldn't manage to chew them. When we asked for the bill - the waiter simply didn't come back and we had to explicitly go to the common cashier and wait for 5...

E' veramente un peccato che questa struttura sia nota soprattutto per il servizio di ristorazione piuttosto che per le rassegne di cinema e gli eventi legati al mondo della celluloide. La posizione privilegiata - a due passi di Via Veneto che la vide protagonista della "dolce vita" come locale di ballo, La Lucciola, NdR - anche oggi è meta più che altro di persone che vi si incontrano, soprattutto perché negli ultimi anni tutta l'area circostante è stata curata e valorizzata. Anche l'ex "Casino delle Rose", realizzato intorno al 1830, rappresenta un riuscitissimo esempio di recupero e da una ventina d'anni ci ha restituito un luogo degradato destinandolo a uno scopo più che meritevole, anche se parzialmente raggiunto. Già perché a seguito di abusi e di un contenzioso legale questa struttura venne bloccata nella sua attività e cadde nel degrado più assoluto, più volte vandalizzata e deturpata nella memoria sebbene in passato non avesse subito sorte migliore diventando addirittura una stalla dopo la guerra dei garibaldini coi francesi. Eppure le carte in regola le ha tutte considerato che oltre gli spazi per incontri e convivialità ha ben tre sale dotate di tecnologia cinematografica d'avanguardia e il programma delle proiezioni è sempre ricco. A breve distanza un'arena all'aperto e poco distante anche il famoso cinema dei piccoli, altro baluardo di Villa Borghese. Utili informazioni? A very pleasant modern structure run by the City of Rome within Villa Borghese park that can be easily reached by public transportation. There are three screens of different sizes, all with 4k high definition and great sound. Very comfortable luxurious velvet armchairs.
