Horrible experience, avoid at all costs Food was basic and very overpriced, lacked flavour. Portions were also very small The waitress though was the real one who brought this place down. When ordering she made faces and rolled her eyes when we didn't want to order any wine with our lunch. I ordered a bruschetta (thinking this would be their specialty seeing the restaurant is named after the dish) but was faced with some attitude from the waitress because this was only a starter. I feel that if I'm eating at a restaurant I am free to order what I please, depending on how hungry I am - was shocked how rude the service was in the first 5 minutes of sitting down. It got worse though as the meal went on

When the bruschetta finally arrived mid meal, I was tossed a plate of three tiny canape size bites with about 4 tomatoes and one basil leaf - all this for 8 Euro. I immediately sent this insult of a dish back only for the waitress to be calling me rude and disrespectful infront of the entire restaurant. She then proceeded to throw the bill on our table and make further shocking comments

All in all a horrible experience. Absolutely disgusting service and tasteless food - it's an insult to the Italian kitchen - the bruschetta especially which I'm surprised she wasn't...

Went here because it was local, did not check the reviews first, it was a long day and we just wanted a quick bite to eat. It was filled with Americans (which is fine, I'm a dual national and reside in the US), they have fettuccini Alfredo, French fries, and chicken nuggets on the menu, which is odd, but maybe you want that in Rome, still ok. However, the food quality is mid at best, the service is questionable, even asking for the check (in Italian, so there was no confusion of what I asked) they forgot about us; they offer things that seem like they are free (and are often free at other places) and then they charge for them, with no clarity on the price. To top it off they charge a servizio of 12%. This is not normal for Rome, who ever is saying this is normal is eating at tourist places (or fine dining). This was average dining with mediocre service. I had a bill that was more akin to a Michelin dinner. If you want mid food at a high cost and you like tourist traps with Americans who forget they are in Europe and are screaming loudly over dinner, then stop in, the food isn't bad, but there are hotels in the area that serve way better...

This place appears to be a heavy tourist trap. (You can tell by all the other reviews by people saying "it was my first meal in Rome", as well as all the complaints about the excessive charges and exorbitant prices). I'll comment on the carbonara. It was made with a very thick noodle reminiscent of udon, but unevenly cut. The egg was already curdled and solidified when brought to the table. Either the cook used too high heat, cooked it too long, or used a microwave. Pink peppercorn used on the dish was a useless distraction from how poorly executed it was. A very poor balance of textures in particular. As for the gorgonzola gnocchi, it is hard to describe why, but it just made me feel sad to eat it.

It is also true that the charges are outrageous. For a plate of gnocchi, carbonara, and a single bottle of water, this meal cost 45 euros. You can eat Michelin quality food for two at that price in this country. I had to really try hard not to give this place one star, but I personally never believe one star reviewers, so to try to encourage anyone reading this, please, do...

Avoid this dinning place! Tourists are their main targeted victims! The portion was really small, much smaller than American kids meals which was understandable;we were at Europe! But the taste of the food was very mediocre, not even counted tasty, the salads were the driest I ever had and the price was Michelin star restaurant cost. They also put 12% service fee charge on the bill which was fine with me since I was gonna leave tips anyways. (Remember, it is not normal to charge service fee in Rome. Some high-end restaurants may charge 10%, LA BRUSCHETTA Via Sardegna charges 12%). WHAT’S WORST IS THEY TRIED TO CON TOURISTS! The lady brought a paper sandwich bag with 6 pieces of bread inside to us during our dining (we didn’t order or request for the bread) The way she brought the bread surely made us think it is complimentary. It turned out that we were charged 6.6 Euro for those COLD, DULL bread! So, if you are new in Rome, avoid this place at any cost unless you are starving to death and no where else to dine.

I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE! We saw on Google that the rating here is 3,7/5 which wasn't encouraging. We decided to go in as the waitress (old lady) was very nice. The waiter threw bread in a bag and said while leaving our table “You can eat it with oil and salt". We paid €8 for a service and an additional €6,6 for this bread... which we didn't even order and no one told us that it would be so expensive... basically to eat 3 slices of bread you have to pay €14,6 I bought ravioli 5 small ravioli for €16,8 - the price was super high and the ravioli were like from a supermarket, I didn't expect such bad taste in a "handmade" pasta restaurant. My friend bought cannelloni, this time it was 2 small pieces for again €16,8 which also tasted like it from a supermarket... The only good thing was a tiramisu but to add more, my 3rd friend ordered soup for €9 which tasted like water with vegetables. You can imagine how disappointed we were after paying €75 and leaving hungry.

Absolutely fabulous! After discovering this restaurant with my husband, we ate here twice during our 3 days in Rome. The food was so tasty that I dreamt about it and when I returned to Rome for a work trip, definitely HAD to dine here again. There is ample seating between the sidewalk tables, indoors by the pizza oven or in the cellars. On our first visit my husband and I had a Margarita pizza - the crust was perfect! But it’s the homemade pastas that I in particular really like here- the ragu sauce made of beef and veal and ohhhh the clam pasta cooked in the salt brine of the clams and sea water - FABULOUS!! The fried zucchini appetizer is yummy too! The staff are always friendly and accommodating if you wish to switch up a different sauce or pasta. Bread comes in a brown bag and has a charge ( common in Italy) and the house wine is served by the 1/2 or full carafe. I highly recommend this restaurant when in Rome.
