A beautiful little shop and excellent customer service! The owner of the shop mistakenly gave me the wrong item (I wanted the perfume but was given a spray for fabrics), but I didn't realize until the next day. When I called her, she greatly apologized. Unfortunately, I was leaving the next day and didn't have time to go back to the shop. Once I returned to NY, she sent me the bottle of perfume I originally wanted, without charge! I can't say enough how appreciative I am by her customer service. And it's a perfume I love. I would happily return to the shop the next time I'm in Rome. There are so many other beautiful things to choose from! Thank you, Chiara!!!!

I have ordered from Flakes a couple of times now. Each time the communication and messaging back-and-forth was perfect so that they would understand exactly what I wanted. The items that I got, are absolutely beautiful, and I can tell they are well-made. They kept in constant touch with me to let me know when the items would be shipped, provided me with shipping information, and I got the items in a really good turnaround time, considering I live in the US, and they are in Italy. I asked for something to be specially made, and they were able to accommodate me. I will continue to follow them and continue to purchase them as my needs arise.

We came across Flake’s while wandering around and ended up taking multiple pieces home - everything is so beautiful and the craftsmanship is clear. These will be heirloom pieces! My parents had several plates shipping to them and I had one shipped to me (in addition to some smaller items we could take with us). The shipping was easy and very well done, everything arrived fast and in pristine condition.

This is the second time I have used Flakes Worldwide shipping facility. So so easy and straightforward. Once again I had seen a couple of beautiful, handmade and totally unique pieces on Flakes Instagram account. It was as easy as a DM to ask Chiara to put them aside for me and let me know the shipping costs. Chiara is very responsive and paying by PayPal is so simple it was super! I had to wait for an item to come in stock but Chiara told me up front and gave me an indication of timescales so I knew when the shipping would take place.

My lovely pieces arrived a couple of days later so well wrapped so they would be safe from their journey from Rome.

As I can’t travel to Rome at the moment it’s fantastic to be able to have a bit of Rome here whilst also supporting a wonderful independent shop who in turn supports independent artists.

Once again it was an absolutely flawless service from the start! And it was not a problem at all having them shipped to me.

This place is a 100/10 in my book, and you should simply visit it. You'll fall in love. I did.

The owner is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met, so that alone gives the place a great boost.

The shop radiates sunshine, passion and love for home items. Each item is artisan-made, and the store owner can tell you the names of the artisans and their story! For me, this is the best kind of storytelling, to add to the beauty of the item.

The items are all exquisite and each a work of art. From some furniture, to places, cutlery, you'll find things here that just shout "MADE IN ITALY", in the most beautiful way.

I bought two gorgeous gifts for my best friend and I'll be back the next few days for more gifts......

Flakes in Trastevere is a precious And unique space I hold so personally dear since the moment I walked through the doors. The loveliness of the establishment is only paralleled by the loveliness of its owner, Chiara. The items are so beautiful, created with such care and intention. My father and i have been unable to resist the charm of the store and have bought so many beautiful things for here in New York. Each time we are lucky enough to go to Rome, we visit Flakes, not only for some new hand painted cups or plates but to feel the presence of the shop and to see our sister Chiara❤️ During this time of uncertainty, I am sending all love and fortune to you all in Italy with small businesses...
