Agreed with previous review: in Italy they DO charge by weight, but once you know that, you’re aware of it! No problem! My husband bought from the street vendor a fresh slab of pistachio nut brittle. He really likes nut brittle & says this is the best ever. I’ve just tried a bit - delicious, not teeth breakingly hard, but with a nice snap. Crammed full of pistachios - predominant taste. I don’t like sweet things, but the sugar was a perfect balance. Nice big slab for the price. Just back from Ortigia & this transported us back in a second! Returning next year & will make sure we visit you in the early part of the holiday - had we know how delicious the nut brittle & the toronne was that we bought on our last day, we’d have been in several times for snacks! The guy out front pressures you into buying as large of a piece of pistachio brittle as possible without telling you that they charge by weight. This “half piece” of brittle which is made actually mostly of sugar cost 12 euros and was barely edible due to the solid sugar block intentionally...

Siamo entrati per acquistare del torrone e ho chiesto qualche info sui prodotti del negozio. La signora sembrava anche stufata delle mie domande. Comunque ho acquistato del torrone e avrei acquistato anche altro se non fosse che la signora si è rivolta in maniera scortese nei confronti di mia figlia che stava appena sfiorando delle confezioni di dolciumi , in aggiunta ho chiesto la cortesia se poteva farmi accedere ai servizi igienici per il piccolino che voleva fare una semplice pipì e lo ha negato. A conclusione di tutto dopo che ho pagato con il bancomat ho chiesto la ricevuta del bancomat e non la voleva rilasciare affermando che la ricevuta era solo per lei.
