Matteo was an enthusiastic and passionate host who expertly shared his knowledge of the islands and history of Venice in an engaging and interesting way. The tour timing was planned perfectly. We stopped at Ferro Toso to make glass ornaments and then went to glass blowing demonstration on the other side of Murano. Both were fantastic experiences. The slightly faster boat trip to Burano was a lot of fun for the kids and the wind helped us cool down in the June heat. Matteo recommended a few stops for our walking tour in Burano and we loved the lace shop. After Burano, Matteo provided very welcome drinks and snacks on the boat - another highlight for the children! Followed by a short trip to Torcello for a wonderful lunch and really interesting insights into the history of that island from Matteo. We thoroughly our tour with Matteo and would recommend it for families with children and...
Read moreOur family of 6 (2 active grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 boys ages 5 and 8) had a FANTASTIC time with Matteo. We previously spent 2 days wandering Venice, and a tour of the other islands with him was like stepping into a completely different world. Matteo was very affable and quickly made us feel like we were good friends- AND he introduced us to his friends/acquaintances at our stops on the tour. He was full of facts about both historical and modern Venice, was willing to share personal anecdotes from his own life, and the entire tour felt like one awesome story. He was great with our boys, including letting them drive the boat, and our youngest cried that we canât go back to see him tomorrow. When we travel, we are always looking for experiences that are authentic and take us off the beaten path, and teach us something, and this tour is all of those things. Matteo, thank you...
