Gomafukudo Kusatsuten is a lovely little stop in Kusatsu. The freshly made hot croquettes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, especially enjoyable on a cold day near the Yubatake. They also offer ice cream, which was a nice treat for the kids. Friendly service and convenient location. A simple, tasty snack break while exploring the area.

Remembered the sesame was good when I tried it in Hokkaido so decided to pop in and order a curry bread coated generously with sesame seeds. It was good to have a delicious warm bread during winter. Before leaving, I bought the sesame to use as seasoning for rice, noodles etc.
