Highly recommend. We stopped by to have dinner and didn't make reservations. The place is pretty busy. The wait was about 40 mins. They told us to wait outside, which was fine with us. There is a hot spring nearby and shops we can walk in. We loved all the dishes. The appetizer we ordered was konnyaku Sashimi. It goes really well with the dipping sauce. We got thick noodle soup. The broth has depth, flavor, not oily, and not salty at all. The thick noodles hold well. We ordered the rice with half egg and slice pork. It tasted really good. The rice wasn't salty and oily from the pork at all. The slice pork does have a lot of fat. We also got the rice with salmon roes and snow crab. There are plenty of salmon roes and snow crab meat! The food came out pretty fast. The service was excellent.

It was raining, summer time, and there was a bit of a queue, and no waiting area inside. The machine for queue number ticket had no paper and so didn't print out a ticket. It took them about 5 minutes to sort out the wait-list and such. We didn't have to wait too long - 5 adults and 1 child. We were initially split into two separate tables, but they were really nice and when one table opened up within minutes, they offered it to us. We all ordered a kanameshi each. It was good, but nothing amazing, especially for the price. We also ordered maitake mushroom skewers, and spinach and bonito skewers. The skewers was too flavourful (too salty) to me, but it was fine for the most part. Again, nothing amazing, but it tasted fine.

This place consistently had a queue to get in, even from before opening time for lunch at 11 am. I had to wait in line for more than half an hour. The original reason I chosen this place was to try their wide, flat okkirikomi udon noodles. I ordered the set that came with the udon and with the beef kamemeshi. The udon soup was fine, but the noodles were a big letdown. They were overcooked and soggy, whereas I prefer chewy udon. The real highlight was the kamemeshi. It had a rich sukiyaki type flavour. The set was not cheap at just over ¥2000, including tax. Be aware that although the restaurant closes for lunch at 3 pm and last orders are at 2:30 pm, in reality they stop letting people in at around 1:40 pm.

We drawed a number and waited outside. There were three other groups ahead us. We waited for about half an hour and our number was still not called out, so we checked inside to see how many groups were still left. Turned out they had free tables and they just didn't call our number. The view is quite nice inside, if you get a table at the window. But honestly, the food is just too expensive for the size, the small amount of toppings and on top of that they charged a tablecharge for some crackers (normal for an Izakaya, but normally you get something better). Oh and you will get a free beer if you post a review.

We went there at 11.20am and were seated at 12.10pm. The food was okay - the rice dish I ordered was very filling. For my wait time this felt acceptable but I wouldn’t think this is worthy of 2 hours wait. Service is quite minimal - you order from a QR code (English and Chinese available) and I had to figure out myself I was meant to grab the dashi soup to accompany my rice dish (it’s written in the menu and the instruction is also on the wall, but it’s DIY). Overall I was content with my food and felt its good price for money, but wouldn’t think this is worthy of hours of wait.

The restaurant is at level 2. Access is via staircase and there is no lift. We ordered kamameshi, sukiyaki and fries. We liked the food. For people like us, we prefer the sukiyaki to be less sweet and less salty. However prior to this dinner, we took ramen at Tokyo and the broth was also quite salty. So it may be the norm. Food tasting is largely a matter of personal preference and the perception varies for different countries. There is free dashi soup for guests who ordered kamameshi. The atmosphere was good and the staffs were courteous. The price was reasonable too.
