A sake/alcohol shop that also serves sake by the glass, a great way to try regional sake and even Japanese wines.
It’s run by an elderly gentleman who is clearly quite passionate about sake and also vintage records. Hot sake is also available and the they use the thermal water from the area to heat the glasses.
Sake by the glass is around 500yen and he gives a very generous overflowing pour. The regional red wine we tried was interest and was more like a white wine with some tannins and red fruit profile but it wasn’t anything we were used to. Each glass order is accompanied with some nuts.
