FamilyMart — Local services in Kyoto

Ok so I was reading the reviews for this FamilyMart before I visited and I was laughing at how bad the reviews were! Well, I went and boy were you all correct!

It was kind of like meeting a character from a story but in a bad way - “oh my god, it’s the guy who you can barely hear!!” Yeah, he was horribly rude, completely inaudible, and I’m honestly surprised he still has this job. He didn’t ask us about a bag and when I brought it up, he very begrudgingly charged us another 7 yen (literally the only thing he said slightly louder) and then threw the bag on the counter. Just stood there and watched us as we packed our own stuff. In hindsight, I should’ve stared back and told him to do his job but alas, I was too busy laughing at how horribly bad this guy...

Oh my gosh, I could not believe I have had the same experience about rude staff and bad attitude just like others. The girl in black hair with bang was the rudest Japanese I have met so far. Aggressive, impatient when I am trying to count the big change she gave me. She grabbed my stuff and put it aside as if I am not allowed to count my own money. This Family Mart is definitely not an ideal place for tourists, no tourist-friendly AT ALL. Not even worth...

One of the female staff members who could barely speak a word of English acted all rude because I was using the machine to fill up a Matcha Latte cup before I paid for it. She kept saying stuff in Japanese in which I couldn't understand then eventually said "money" in which I interpreted that as her asking me if I had paid for the cup yet.
