This is a charming home stay in Kyoto,near the Kyoto JR Station. This accommodation was perfect for my needs, offering a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Location: The house is just a short walk from Kyoto JR Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city and accessing public transportation. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance.

Amenities: This place is well-equipped with all the essential amenities. The WiFi was fast and reliable, which was great for staying connected and planning our daily activities. The kitchen came fully stocked with cooking ware, allowing us to prepare our own meals easily. There was also a fridge to store our groceries, and a washer and dryer, which were extremely handy for our longer stay. Each room had its own AC unit, ensuring a comfortable temperature at all times. One of the highlights was the huge hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

Accommodation: We had three spacious rooms, each clean and comfortably furnished. The beds were cozy, and there was plenty of storage space for our belongings. The house also featured three bathrooms, which was very convenient for our group. The overall atmosphere of the house was welcoming and homely, providing a nice respite after a busy day.

The fridge door says if you give 5 stars to this airbnb, you can get a free champagne. Wonder if most of the reviewers gave the stars for the champagne or if they really think the place deserves 5 stars.

That said, this airbnb is a nice place, it is nicely renovated and generally clean, spacious and has a big living room and dining area.

However, I have noticed a few points.

there is no lock on the balcony door. Technically, someone could climb in from the fence from adjoining neighbor to the Japanese garden and directly into the house. This is Japan, a country with low crime rate so not as likely, but I do not understand the lack of door lock and would not rent with prior knowledge.

this is a very quiet neighborhood. Late night chit-chat with a group of friends would echo through the streets. You don’t need a blasting party to be considered too loud by neighbours and would receive complaints. Not suitable for a big group unless the group is very quiet and sleeps early.

downstairs room’s wall has a part (behind the vase) where it uses translucent material. That allows light from the rest of the house to shine through. Unless ALL the lights in the house are off, this room would not be dark...

This is absolutely a 5 star place to stay for your family holiday. It features 3 decent spacious bedrooms upstairs plus one additional room downstairs allowing 3 couples + to stay. Two fully equipped bathrooms with shower and hot bathtub. 3 toilets. The house is recently renovated at a high standard with good art fast. A/C are equipped in each bedroom and loving area. The owner is very thoughtful in providing everything you need in an outstay. The house is located in a quiet small lane but close to a convenience store and not far from Kyoto railway station.
