There's a service center for all the Stay Sakura Kyoto properties near Kyoto Station. You can leave your luggage there and they'll forward it to your room. The check-in will be made later at the respective property. The location of the place was superb and a great base to explore the city. The staff was lovely and everyone spoke English very well. The room was clean and comfy. It was just right for me but it might be a bit small if you're travelling as a group. There's a washing machine and detergent and a handy drying mode in the bathroom. The electronics are all in Japanese but there's a folder explaining every application, so no worries there. The only minor things that bothered me a bit were that there was no drying towels for the dishes and no knives, just forks, spoons and chopsticks. Read moreIt's an absolutely perfect apart-hotel. I highly recommend it. The rooms were spacious, the amenities were perfect, and the staff were incredibly helpful and sweet. It is a great place to base yourself for exploring Kyoto.
Everything is easily walkable, and Kyoto station is only 25 min walks, and smaller stations are much closer.
There is a free luggage service for patrons, only 5 minutes' walk from Kyoto Station at the guest service centre. Just stop by and drop your bags to the lovely staff there, and they will have your bags delivered to your room at whichever Stay Sakura Kyoto hotel you are staying at.
Also, don't be afraid to use the bath, it was a wonderful experience after a long day's walking. Shower in the wet area, then relax in the tub with some scented bath salts. Just bliss!
I will definitely use this hotel again, such a...
Read moreThe hotel apartment in Kyoto has a convenient location with three nearby stations within walking distance. The apartments themselves are relatively small and appear a bit worn, with scuffed wallpaper and a kitchen door that didn’t close properly. Upon arrival, the room wasn't fully cleaned, with some dirt left behind. Additionally, the bathroom and toilet felt a bit outdated and more manual compared to other places we've stayed. However, there were many positives. The check-in process was smooth, and there was a convenient service center nearby for luggage delivery. The room had a lovely view of a small local temple with blooming sakura trees. It was warm and cozy, though it could get a bit stuffy, but we managed by opening the windows. Overall, it was a decent stay with a mix of good and less...
