The kindest, loveliest woman greeted and welcomed us at our arrival. She provided us with very helpful tips and wanted to ensure that we had the best possible experience in Kyoto. The service was excellent and very attentive. The guesthouse is immaculately kept and impeccably clean. Our room was also well-equipped and orderly and sleeping on the tatami mats and futon was very comfortable. The guesthouse is located in a more residential neigbhourhood which makes for good quality sleep as well as peace and quiet. The subway station and restaurants and cafés are about a 7-minute walk from the guesthouse. We also wanted to acknowledge and recognize the hotel’s exceptional efforts in accommodating a very inconvenient change of plans due to Typhoon Hagibis. Staff is kind and helpful with check-in, the elevator is a plus

The lock for the door took some time to figure out but it got done

Room is clean, bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed the bathroom amenities too

It is walking distance to many cafes along with convenient stores and restaurants

I also appreciate that they have the front door locked between certain hours just for safety and can only be accessible via keycard

Laundry is also only a minute away which was so convenient!!
