The cashier was insulting to non-Japanese speakers!
Using Google Translate, I was asking for directions and some change, and the cashier showed me a paper with one English sentence, but with the wrong information. When I used Google Translate to rephrase my question, she pointed to the paper again and asked, "Do you read English?" multiple times and shoved it in my face. That was extremely unnecessary.
Go somewhere else for your souvenirs. If you don't speak Japanese, and you have a question, you would most likely get insulted by the cashier. I regret giving them my business.

Read more大阪明年有萬國博覽會,身為周邊的城市奈良必定也會帶動觀光,請問店員對於客人不耐煩的態度,是正確的嗎?貴店位置就在地鐵站裡,會是旅客最初或者最後的印象,卻是用不正確的態度以及非常無禮的表情接待,留給我們最差的回憶。非常感謝戴眼鏡的女店員如此赤裸裸地表達了她的不滿,我先生看見她翻白眼,我看著她嘆氣,因為我拖延到她的下班時間,我在日本第一次受到如此無禮的對待,我甚至已經說了不好意思,但是她認為我犯了錯,所以她用她的指甲敲桌面表達急躁及不滿。即便是我們有錯也請耐心說明,就因為你們要準時下班,所以不想處理我的退稅手續,所以用表情讓我知難而退嗎?這非常可怕,請停止。 如果貴店這麼嚴謹遵守下班時間,那麼請提早終止收客,而不是無止境地讓客人湧入,結帳時本來就會遇到各種問題,你們有更圓滑的處理方式而不是無禮地重複告訴我你們要關店了,我不是不付錢,因為我要退稅所以很麻煩嗎?就算不到退稅金額,那也不過是補一點小金額就能解決的事情,但你們,或者說那位戴眼鏡的女店員並不想接待我,拒絕我再去補商品。因為我先生聽不懂日文所以他直接從旁邊多拿了一個商品結帳,這時那位女店員開始了她的表演,嘆氣、翻白眼、用指甲敲桌面,刷卡時快速地說英文(非常奇怪,這時又換成英文了,前面都是用日文說要關店了)我們恐懼且煎熬地等待整個過程,一結束就迅速離開了這裡,一秒都不想多待。 太失望了,奈良最後的回憶竟然是一個不耐煩又無禮的店員。 一個小建議,其實英文說不好可以慢慢說,要知道非母語者是非常容易有腔調的。而我必須老實說該店員的英文腔調很重,所以第一時間並沒有理解她說什麼,以至於她第二次說得更快了,我應該感謝她再次用手指敲打著刷卡機,不然我根本沒聽出她是要我自己插卡的意思。 如果需要明確指出是哪一位,我可以給出時間和收據,我並沒有說謊,該店員整個過程都有明顯不耐煩的語氣及表情,貴店真的非常需要再次做好員工教育訓練。 我再也不會光顧這裡,我也會告知我們的親朋好友避開這裡,也免遭受預期外的無禮待遇。 評價一顆星都是多餘的。 PS.這家店先前也有對外國人不友善的評論,看起來只是敷衍地回答並沒有改善。我不接受一樣敷衍的回覆,請多仔細想想怎麼改進。因為你們糟糕的對應,已經讓難得的旅程有了污點,請讓...
