I came to this salon for a shampoo and blow dry. I chose shiseido because I have curly hair and I figured their hairstylists here would be trained to do basic blow dry to all hair types. I take full accountability for my false assumption. The hairstylist I had did a good head massage with my shampooing however she has zero skill in dealing with curly hair even in the way she washed my hair was rough and more so a technique for straight hair. She seemed overwhelmed when she began to blow dry my hair and even asked if she should hot iron my wet hair. She was brushing my hair and running the blow dryer without any tension whatsoever. Needless to say I decided to not continue to allow her and another stylist that came to assist her, in experimenting with my hair and I opted to just do my own hair and leave it curly as I had no other choice. My daughter also had her curly hair blow dry with a different hairstylist who did a better job on her hair. This is not a salon for people with curly hair. I mostly saw older people with short straight hair during the time I was there. I am giving them four stars as the salon was clean and the person who did my daughter’s hair did an ok job.
