This store has a really large variety of car and train toys, and it’s a fun place to browse if you’re into collecting or just enjoy looking at detailed models. The selection covers a wide range, from everyday cars to specialty vehicles and train sets, so there’s something for different kinds of collectors. On my visit, I ended up buying some Mercedes car toys, which were really well-made. There were actually two more models I saw, but I didn’t pick them up since I already had them in my collection. That just shows how many different options they have—sometimes you’ll even find pieces you wouldn’t expect. If you’re a car enthusiast or like train models, I’d definitely recommend stopping by. It’s easy to lose track of time while looking through everything, and you might come across something rare or unique that’s hard to find elsewhere. I love all things cars. And the Tomica Shop in Umeda was definitely a must-go to destination when we went to Osaka. I was a bit disappointed that it was such a small shop, but then again, a lot of things in Japan are small. Looks can be deceiving though, because as small as the shop is, it carried a wide variety of Tomica products, including regular Tomicas, Pla-rails, Disney Tomicas, Tomica Limited Vintages and Tomica Shop exclusives. If money (and excess baggage) was not an option, I could have carried nearly a quarter of what the store offered back to Singapore.
