I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Tower Slider in Tsutenkaku today due to the unfair treatment from the staff. I absolutely do not recommend this attraction to anyone unless you want to be treated with arrogance and disrespect! My brother and I separately approached the staff at the Tower Slider queue to ask, "Where should we buy tickets?" There were two or three staff members present, and their attitude was shockingly rude and impatient. Their responses were absurd: "Tower Slider is Tower Slider," "Sign the paper," and "I'm Japanese, I don’t understand." However, it was clear they could speak at least basic English and understood our question perfectly. This behavior was not due to a language barrier but rather because they were arrogant and dismissive. During our week in Osaka, we met many staff members who spoke little to no English—some only knew a few words—but they were all incredibly kind, polite, and genuinely tried their best to help us. The staff at the Tower Slider in Tsutenkaku, however, were rude to a shocking degree. I can’t imagine how many visitors might endure this kind of treatment during the upcoming Osaka Expo. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and leaves a...
Read moreWe came here to visit Osaka tower, a very popular tourist destination. They had two separate tickets, one for the observation deck and other for sliding loop. There was a 45 minutes waiting for observation deck, so we decided to do the slide. It took us about 20 minutes to get top of the tower at the Sliding deck. All the employees were friendly and helpful. They were trying to make it as fun as possible. The sliding itself is 10-12 seconds of experience. You get experience partial free fall while sliding on a piece of blanket. The ticket came with equipment rental of the helmet and sliding blanket. They also provided free video of the slide, but it was only the beginning and ending parts of the slide.
After completing our activity, we spend some time in the gift shop. I found a unique coin machine where I was able to engrave on it whatever text I wanted. It was one of the most unique souvenir item I managed to collect in my entire trip. The shop had other stuff like apparel, snack, candies, toys and Osaka souvenir items. Overall the quality of the products in this shop wasn’t good...
Read moreThe Tsutenkaku Towe Slider is fun. It's a short ride, but worth it. The wait can get a bit long. Don't worry about getting hurt, safety is a top priority and there's no need to worry. Even if people are screaming on the way down. The slide picks up some good speed but is over fast.
At the end of the ride, you can download a short video of you entering and exiting the slide. The video is FREE and staff will help you download it after the ride ends.
Please make sure to get a reservarion beforehand. The Towe Slider and Observation tower requires separate tickets and you cannot buy them for the same time slot. If you do so anyway, staff will change the time for one of...
