In my 14 weeks of travel 8 cities countless sushi meal, this one is the worst experience.
First off, we came in because of the chiikawa collaboration. Normally for this kind of restaurant all dishes would have a plate attached for counting purpose, but this brand only provides sushi plate for only sushi. We spent over 2500 yen on food that cannot be used for lucky draw.
Second, the chiikawa collaboration udon mentioned there will be a gift attached. But only when checking out, the staff told us that it is all sent out, this is not mentioned anywhere in the shop before.
Lastly, the quality of the sushi and sashimi is far from okay. Most of the fish is still frozen, and I can taste the ice in them. The grill ones are okay, since you can’t really mess them up.
Comparing this to the other two famous brands, and any other sushi shops I have visited in this two weeks, this kura sushi is just worst at all perspectives, making the whole chiikawa campaign a...
Read moreI had a fantastic time dining at Kura Sushi Shinsekai Tsutenkaku in Osaka. It’s a well-organized conveyor belt sushi restaurant, and the waiting time was minimal, especially when visiting in smaller groups. Upon entering, there's a ticket machine right by the entrance where you can queue if needed, and the waiting area is conveniently located just behind it.
Once seated, you can place your order via a tablet or by scanning the QR code displayed at the table with your smartphone. The ordering process is incredibly smooth, and the sushi quality is excellent.
One of the highlights of dining here is the small game they offer, where you can win fun prizes, like collectible One Piece figures. It really added an extra level of excitement to the meal.
Overall, it was an amazing experience. If you’re looking for an authentic sushi conveyor belt experience, I would highly recommend visiting this place. I’ll definitely...

Was initially impressed that they had English translations. However, as we continued further in...
Good points self-service check-in was smooth and quick. drinks was decent.
Bad points Sashimi looks very dull and not fresh. Sad. Egg was very, very salty. Crab meat was crap. Spoon was hard to locate. Shop was dirty. customer service was bad.
If you are going for the game at the top of the machine, take note that you have to switch on the game mode in order to get the toy. If you switch it midway, all previous plates that you've slotted in are NOT counted. It is 5 plates for 1 attempt of the game. Food was too horrible for us to attempt to get to 10 plates.
Asked the staff, and she said that nothing could be done. There was no form of service recovery as what one would expect of a Japanese restaurant. Disappointed. Won't come back and recommend...
